The IDF and ISA eliminated the terrorist who carried out the Ramallah lynch in October 2000

Overnight (Wednesday), the IDF and ISA eliminated the terrorist Aziz Salha in the area of Deir El Balah in the central Gaza Strip via an aerial strike.

The IDF sends its heartfelt condolences to the families and will continue to support them.

Over the past few years, Salha was involved in terrorist activity in Judea and Samaria and remained involved in Hamas terrorist activity to this day.

Salha, aged 43, from Dayr Jarir, was deported to the Gaza Strip as part of the Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange after he was apprehended in 2001 following the lynch .

During a precise IDF and ISA intelligence-based strike, IAF fighter jets struck and eliminated the terrorists while they were hiding in a fortified and equipped underground compound in the northern Gaza Strip. The compound served as a Hamas command and control center and enabled senior operatives to remain inside of it for extended periods of time.
The compound was managed by senior members of Hamas’ General Security Mechanism and functioned as a hideout for the Hamas leadership, led by Mushtaha.

Following the strike on the compound and the elimination of the terrorists, Hamas did not announce their deaths as it had done following previous eliminations, in order to prevent loss of morale and functioning of its terror operatives.

Rawhi Mushtaha was one of Hamas’ most senior operatives and had a direct impact on decisions relating to Hamas’ force deployment. Mushtaha was involved in military decisions while also acting as the Head of Hamas Civil Governance in the Gaza Strip and holding the Prisoners Affairs Portfolio. He also formerly held the finance portfolio.

Mushtaha, alongside Yahya Sinwar, established Hamas’ General Security Mechanism. They served a prison sentence together in an Israeli jail. Mushtaha was considered to be the most senior figure in the Hamas political bureau in the Gaza Strip, and during the war maintained civil control of the Hamas regime, while simultaneously engaging in terrorist activity against Israel. Mushtaha was Sinwar’s right-hand man and one of his closest associates.

The IDF and ISA will continue to pursue all of the terrorists responsible for the October 7th massacre and will operate against anyone who threatens the State of Israel.

IDF: After more than a decade in captivity in Gaza: the IDF led by COGAT, in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Israel, rescued a young Yazidi woman held by a Hamas terrorist affiliated with ISIS in the Gaza Strip

In an operation coordinated by IDF and led by COGAT, with the U.S. Embassy in Israel and other international actors, Fawzia Amin Sido; a 21-year-old woman of Yazidi origin was freed this week from captivity and returned home to Iraq. About a decade ago, when she was only 11 years old, ISIS terrorists trafficked her to a Hamas terrorist affiliated with ISIS in the Gaza Strip where she was held in captivity.

During the “Swords of Iron” war, the terrorist who held her was killed, presumably during IDF strikes in the Gaza Strip, and she fled to a hideout within the Gaza Strip. In a complex operation coordinated between Israel, the United States, and other international actors, she was recently rescued in a secret mission from the Gaza Strip through the Kerem Shalom Crossing. Upon her entry into Israel, she continued to Jordan through the Allenby Bridge Crossing and from there- returned to her family in Iraq.

This is further evidence of the connection between the terrorist organization Hamas and ISIS, as well as additional proof of the crimes against humanity committed by the murderous terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip. The IDF will continue to act to dismantle the Hamas-ISIS terrorist organization, strike terror infrastructure sites, and free all hostages in Hamas captivity.

The State of Israel will continue to promote humanitarian efforts in cooperation with the international community, in accordance with the values of the State of Israel, which is committed to international law.

IDF: The Chief of the General Staff on the Lebanese Border: “We Will Not Allow Hezbollah To Establish Itself in These Places in the Future. The Blows We Are Serving to Hezbollah Will Continue”

Over the holiday (Thursday), the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Herzi Halevi, held a situational assessment in the Command Centers of the 98th and the 36th Divisions, which are currently operating in southern Lebanon.

Attached is a video from the remarks of the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Herzi Halevi: https://bit.ly/3XSl3HL

Attached are the full remarks of the Chief of the General Staff: “Throughout the holiday, the IDF continues to operate intensely in Lebanon and in the other arenas. Today, I met with the commanders and soldiers of the 98th Division and the 36th Division, that are operating in Lebanon, for a very important mission – establishing security in the north and returning the residents to their homes after over a year of being displaced.
Returning the residents means destroying the terrorist infrastructure that Hezbollah has built near the border so they could raid our communities and kill Israeli civilians when given the order. We are very determined to destroy this infrastructure and eliminate anyone present there. We will not allow Hezbollah to establish itself in these places. The damage to Hezbollah in all sectors – Beirut, the Beqaa Valley, and southern Lebanon, will continue.
Our troops in Lebanon are eliminating more and more terrorists – every encounter ends with us having the upper hand. Our troops are more prepared and trained than ever, bearing the experience from the operations in Gaza, and their advantage in the combat arena is clear. The troops are supported by aerial and ground firepower capabilities, and they are operating courageously.
Today, I heard the initial findings from the battles in which we lost brave soldiers who fell heroically while fighting Hezbollah terrorists. I saw commanders who advanced in the face of fire, leading their soldiers forward, courageously defeating the enemy. We will continue to fight in light of the heroism of these soldiers, and we will support and embrace their beloved families.
Today, I also met the reservists, who left their homes, families, and jobs and are here with us, with much experience, knowledge, and a strong spirit.
I have great appreciation for the reservists, the soldiers, and the commanders in regular duty, as well as for their families.
We will continue to operate across active arenas to bring greater security to the State of Israel as we begin the new year of 5785.”

IDF: Underground Command Centers, Living Areas and Terrorist Combat Packs: The IDF Destroyed Hezbollah Radwan Forces Underground Terror Infrastructure

The Paratroopers Brigade, Yahalom Unit and the Northern Command Combat Engineering Unit, under the command of the 98th Division, destroyed 250 meters of underground terror infrastructure in southern Lebanon. The underground infrastructure was identified and investigated during cross-border operations conducted in recent weeks in coordination with special units. IDF troops uncovered command centers, terrorist combat packs, and a large number of weapons designated to be used in an invasion by Hezbollah’s Radwan Forces into Israel. They also found living quarters equipped with showers, a kitchen, and stockpiles of food.

The underground infrastructure did not cross into Israeli territory and was sealed by the Northern Command Combat Engineering Unit and the Yahalom Unit in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense Department of Engineering and Construction.

The soldiers of the Paratroopers Brigade continue to fight in southern Lebanon, navigating complex, mountainous, and dense terrain. Inside a Hezbollah stronghold used by the terrorist organization as a base to carry out attacks on Israeli civilians, the soldiers uncovered hundreds of weapons. The soldiers also eliminated dozens of terrorists in close-quarters combat and directed aerial strikes.

IDF: IDF Spokesperson, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari:

“In the footage seen here, our troops raided a Hezbollah underground command complex, and dismantled it. The troops entered a terror tunnel about 250 meters long, located about 300 meters from the border and not crossing into Israeli territory. As can be seen here, the troops found along the route a kitchenette and rooms enabling extended stays for Hezbollah terrorists underground, terrorist combat packs and weapons of the Radwan Forces ready for attack, command rooms, fresh food, and electrical and communication infrastructure. These compounds were intended to be used by Hezbollah terrorists in an attack on the communities of the Galilee. This tunnel did not cross into our territory, and yesterday we destroyed it.”

IDF: A short while ago, with the direction of IDF intelligence, the IAF conducted a precise strike on Hamas terrorists who were operating inside a command and control center in the area of Jabaliya in the northern Gaza Strip. The command and control center, which was embedded inside a compound that previously served as an UNRWA center, was used by the Hamas terrorists to plan and execute terrorist attacks against IDF troops and the State of Israel.

Prior to the strike, numerous steps were taken to mitigate the risk of harming civilians, including the use of precise munitions, aerial surveillance, and additional intelligence information.

This is a further example of the Hamas terrorist organization’s systematic abuse of civilian infrastructure in violation of international law. The IDF will continue to operate against Hamas in defense of the citizens of Israel.

IDF: Throughout today (Saturday), approximately 130 projectiles fired by the Hezbollah terrorist organization crossed from Lebanon into Israeli territory.

The IDF will continue to operate against the threat of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in defense of the State of Israel and its residents.
