IDF Updates – October 10th

IDF: Earlier today (Wednesday), the IAF struck and eliminated Adham Jahout, a terrorist in Hezbollah’s “Golan Terrorist Network”, Hezbollah’s terror cell in Syria, in the area of Quneitra.

As part of his role, he relayed information from Syrian regime sources to the Hezbollah terrorist organization and transmitted intelligence gathered on the Syrian front to facilitate operations against Israel in the Golan Heights.

IDF: As of 23:00 today (Wednesday, October 9th), approximately 220 projectiles that were fired by the Hezbollah terrorist organization crossed from Lebanon into Israel. Overall, Hezbollah fired 360 projectiles toward Israeli territory.

The IDF will continue to defend the State of Israel and its people against the threat posed by the Hezbollah terrorist organization.

During the incident in which Sergeant Major (Res.) Ronny Ganizate fell, a reservist from the 5030th Battalion, 228th Brigade (Alon), was severely injured.

The soldier was evacuated to a hospital to receive medical treatment and his family has been notified.


IDF: The IAF and IDF artillery struck and eliminated the terrorist Ahmad Moustafa al-Haj Ali, commander of the Houla Front in the Hezbollah terrorist organization, who was responsible for hundreds of missile and anti-tank missile attacks toward the Kiryat Shmona area.

In another strike, the IDF eliminated Mohammad Ali Hamdan, commander of Hezbollah’s anti-tank unit in the Meiss El Jabal area, who was responsible for extensive anti-tank missile attacks toward communities in northern Israel.

Yesterday (Thursday), and overnight, the IAF, with the precise intelligence direction of the IDF Intelligence Directorate, struck multiple weapons storage facilities in the Dahieh area of Beirut and weapons storage facilities and additional terrorist infrastructure in southern Lebanon.

Prior to the strikes in the Dahieh area, numerous steps were taken to mitigate the risk of harming civilians, including publishing advance warnings to the population in the area.

The Hezbollah terrorist organization has deliberately embedded its weapons storage facilities and weaponry beneath residential buildings, schools, mosques, and universities, in the heart of Beirut, endangering the civilian population in the area.

IDF: Following the sirens that sounded in the area of the upper Galilee, approximately 40 projectiles were identified crossing from Lebanon into Israeli territory, some of which were intercepted, and several fell in the area.


IDF: The IDF Continues Operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza

The IDF is continuing limited, localized, targeted operations against Hezbollah attack infrastructure and terrorists in southern Lebanon. Over the past day, IDF soldiers eliminated numerous terrorists in various close-quarters encounters and aerial strikes. The forces also located and destroyed hundreds of weapons, including anti-tank missile and rocket launchers aimed at civilian communities in northern Israel, as well as underground terrorist infrastructure.

Simultaneously, the IDF is continuing operations against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. In the Jabaliya area, over the past day, IDF soldiers eliminated more than 50 terrorist operatives, including those who fired anti-tank missiles toward the troops. The forces located large quantities of weapons, including AK-47, an RPG, and ammunition. In Rafah, IDF troops dismantled a rocket launcher, additional weapons, and underground terrorist tunnel shafts. In central Gaza, the forces eliminated more terrorist operatives, located weapons, and dismantled terrorist infrastructure.

Over the past day, the IAF struck more than 110 Hezbollah terrorist targets in Lebanon and approximately 30 Hamas terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip. The strikes targeted terrorist cells, weapons storage facilities, launchers, terrorist infrastructure sites, observation posts, and underground terror infrastructure.

The IDF will continue to defend the State of Israel and its people against any threat from any front.

IDF: As of 16:00, approximately 105 projectiles that were fired by the Hezbollah terrorist organization have crossed from Lebanon into Israel today (Thursday, October 10th).

The IDF will continue to defend the State of Israel and its people against the threat posed by the Hezbollah terrorist organization.


Joint IDF and ISA announcement:

The IDF and ISA eliminated at least 12 terrorists in a strike on a command and control center in Jabaliya; several of the terrorists took part in the October 7th massacre

Yesterday (Wednesday), with the precise intelligence direction of the IDF and ISA, the IAF struck terrorists operating from a command and control center embedded within an area that previously served as a medical compound in Jabaliya in the Gaza Strip.

Large quantities of weapons were stored inside the command and control center, and was used by the terrorists to plan and execute terror attacks against IDF troops and the citizens of the State of Israel.

At this time, it can be confirmed that at least 12 terrorists from the Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorist organizations were eliminated in the strike, including the following terrorists:

-Mustafa Abd Al-Aziz, a platoon commander in Hamas’ Military Intelligence Unit.

-Mahmmud Khamis Suleiman Awad, deputy platoon commander at an anti-tank unit in Hamas’ Northern Brigade.

-Bilal Bashir Muhammad Al-Sharafi, a terrorist in the Eastern Jabaliya Battalion of the Hamas Military Wing.

-Saher Farid Muhammad Abu Rashed, a terrorist in the Eastern Jabaliya Battalion of the Hamas Military Wing, took part in the October 7th massacre.

-Karem Salaeh Hassan Abu-Daher, an engineering terrorist operative in the Eastern Jabaliya Battalion of the Hamas Military Wing.

-As’ad Yusuf Saeid Hazaa, a terrorist in the Eastern Jabaliya Battalion of the Hamas Military Wing.

-Saeid Hisar Saeid Sbaba, a terrorist in the Hamas Military Wing.

-Muhammad Ibrahim Ali Bader, a terrorist in the Islamic Jihad Military Wing.

-Amjad Ziad Abed al-Rahman Aziz, a terrorist in the Islamic Jihad Military Wing.

-Ibrahim abu-alJalili, a terrorist in the Eastern Jabaliya Battalion of the Hamas Military Wing.

-Zakaria Hussein Abu-Habal, a Nukhba platoon commander in Hamas’ Eastern Jabaliya Battalion, took part in the October 7th massacre.

-Muhammad Rabee Musbah Arini, a Nukhba platoon commander in Hamas’ Eastern Jabaliya Battalion, took part in the October 7th massacre.

Prior to the strike, numerous steps were taken to mitigate the risk of harming civilians, including the use of precise munitions, aerial surveillance, and additional intelligence information.

The elimination of the terrorists in the area is a further example of the systematic abuse of the civilian population and infrastructure by terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip to conduct terrorist activities against IDF troops and the State of Israel.

IDF: The Chief of the General Staff and the Head of the ISA Conduct a Situational Assessment in Southern Lebanon

Today (Thursday), the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Herzi Halevi, and the Head of the ISA, Ronen Bar, conducted a joint situational assessment with the forces fighting in southern Lebanon, along with the Commanding Officer of the Northern Command and the Commanding Officer of the 91st Division.

IDF: The Hezbollah terrorist organization operates from within and near civilian areas in southern Lebanon, including areas near UNIFIL posts.
The IDF is operating in southern Lebanon and maintains routine communication with UNIFIL.

This morning (Thursday), IDF troops operated in the area of Naqoura, next to a UNIFIL base. Accordingly, the IDF instructed the UN forces in the area to remain in protected spaces, following which the forces opened fire in the area.
