IDF Continues Operations in Southern Lebanon and Gaza, Targeting Key Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad Terrorists
The IAF struck and eliminated the terrorist Farouk Amin Alasi, the Hezbollah commander of the Khiam area.
Alasi was responsible for the execution of many anti-tank missile and rocket attacks toward Israeli communities in the Galilee Panhandle, and especially Metula.
Additionally, the IDF eliminated the terrorist Yousef Ahmad Nun, a Radwan Forces company commander in the Khiam area who was responsible for rocket and anti-tank missile attacks toward Israeli communities in the Galilee area and IDF troops operating in the area.
IDF troops continue operational activity in southern Lebanon. The IDF eliminated Radwan Forces and additional Hezbollah terrorists in aerial strikes and close-quarters combat. Furthermore, the troops located large amounts of Hezbollah weaponry.
Over the past week, with the direction of IDF Intelligence, the IAF struck and eliminated the terrorist Raafat Ibrahim Mahmoud Akdeih, a Nukhba terrorist who infiltrated Kibbutz Nir Oz during the brutal October 7th terrorist attack. During the war, Akdieh served as an aide to the commander of Islamic Jihad Nukhba forces in the Khan Yunis Brigade.
Over the past day, the IDF has continued operating in the Jabaliya area in the northern Gaza Strip, eliminating dozens of terrorists.
The “Kfir” Brigade has begun operations in the area, during which the brigade eliminated a terrorist cell in an aerial strike that posed a threat to troops operating in the area.
IDF troops are continuing operational activity in the central and southern Gaza Strip, locating weaponry and eliminating terrorist cells.
Over the past day, the troops dismantled weapons storage facilities and eliminated terrorists that posed a threat to the troops.

IDF: At the end of last week (Thursday), The Commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), General (* * * *) Michael “Erik” Kurilla, arrived in Israel as the official guest of the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Herzi Halevi.
The Chief of the General Staff and the Commander of CENTCOM held a situational assessment on strategic security issues and joint regional preparedness, as part of the response to threats in the Middle East, with a focus on Iran.
During General Kurilla’s visit, he visited the American THAAD aerial defense battery, which was recently deployed in Israel to strengthen defense against emerging threats.
The IDF will continue to deepen its relationship with the U.S. Armed Forces, due to our commitment to strengthening regional stability and the coordination between the two militaries.

IDF: Weapons Located Inside a Children’s Room in a Village in Southern Lebanon
Troops of the 91st Division are continuing limited, localized, targeted ground raids based on precise intelligence in southern Lebanon to dismantle terror infrastructure and eliminate Hezbollah operatives.
During overnight intelligence-based operations by the 769th Brigade in a village in southern Lebanon, the soldiers conducted targeted raids on several buildings. In one of the buildings, the troops located numerous weapons stored in both the kitchen and children’s room, including RPGs, rocket launchers, rockets, grenades, and AK-47 rifles. In the same civilian building, which was used as a weapons storage facility, a large cache of military tactical equipment, combat gear, and intelligence documents was found, used by Hezbollah operatives who had barricaded themselves in the building.
The troops are continuing to encounter terrorists during close-quarters combat in complex terrain and eliminate them using precise munitions, directed by IAF aircraft and supported by Unit 869’s field intelligence soldiers.

IDF: Footage of a Hezbollah Combat Compound in Southern Lebanon
During the limited, localized, targeted ground raids based on precise intelligence by the 36th Division, troops of Shayetet 13, the Yahalom Unit, and the Oketz Unit, with support from the 282nd Brigade, conducted a raid on a Hezbollah terrorist compound. Hezbollah intended to use this compound to plan and execute an infilitration into Israeli territory and attacks on IDF troops.
Within the compound, the soldiers located underground infrastructure and hideouts equipped with logistical and medical supplies for prolonged stays, military tents, and pits stocked with weapons.
The troops also located and destroyed rocket launchers, high-powered explosives ready to be activated, anti-tank missiles, mortar shells, AK-47 rifles, surface-to-air missiles, and a launcher concealed in a mountain on a several-meter track aimed directly at civilian communities in northern Israel.
During the raid, the troops encountered a terrorist cell positioned underground and eliminated him.
The areas above and below the combat compound were dismantled by the troops, during which secondary expolsions were observed.

IDF: IDF Troops Detained an Iranian Terror Network Operative in a Special Operation
During an intelligence based, special operation in Syrian territory that took place in recent months, soldiers of the Egoz Unit together with field interrogators from Unit 504, led by the 210th Division, detained an Iranian terror network operative in Syria.
Ali Soleiman al-Assi is a Syrian citizen who lives in the area of Saida in southern Syria. His activities included gathering intelligence on IDF troops in the border area for future terror activity of the network. Ali Soleiman al-Assi has been under IDF surveillance, was detained and transferred for interrogation in Israel.
The operation by IDF troops to detain al-Assi prevented a future attack and led to the exposure of the operational methods of Iranian terror networks located near the Golan Heights. Al-Assi was transferred for further investigation to Unit 504 and other security forces.
The IDF will continue to operate to defend the sovereignty of the State of Israel and will not allow Iranian proxies in southern Syria to operate and threaten Israeli civilians.
