Additionally, during the battle in which Captain Yair Yakov Shushan, Staff Sergeant Yahav Hadar, Staff Sergeant Guy Karmiel, Staff Sergeant Yoav Feffer, and Staff Sergeant Aviel Wiseman fell in the northern Gaza Strip, eight other soldiers from the Reconnaissance Battalion of the Nahal Brigade were severely injured.

The soldiers were evacuated to the hospital to receive medical treatment and their families have been notified.
