IDF: Earlier today (Sunday), IDF troops operating in southern Lebanon fired warning shots to remove threats in a number of areas where suspects were identified approaching the troops.
Additionally, a number of suspects in proximity to IDF troops that posed an imminent threat to the troops were apprehended and are currently being questioned at the scene.
The IDF remains deployed in southern Lebanon, continues to operate in accordance with the ceasefire understandings between Israel and Lebanon, and is monitoring Hezbollah’s attempts to return to southern Lebanon.
The IDF will operate against any threat posed to IDF troops and the State of Israel.

Earlier today (Sunday), a vehicle with Hezbollah flags approached an area in southern Lebanon where IDF troops were operating and posed a threat to them. The troops operated in order to remove the threat.
In addition, the troops identified dozens of rioters who posed a threat to them. After firing warning shots in order to disperse the rioters, the rioters retreated.
The IDF is determined to continue to operate in accordance with the understanding between Israel and Lebanon, despite Hezbollah’s attempts to return to southern Lebanon.
