IDF Updates – March 19th

IDF: The Chief of the General Staff in Rafah: “Your mission is to protect the communities here. We are engaged in an ongoing operation against Hamas, alongside the IDF’s full obligation to bring back the hostages.”

Today (Tuesday), the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir, conducted a field tour in the Rafah area of the Gaza Strip, accompanied by the Commander of the Gaza Division, BG Barak Hiram, the Commander of the Givati Brigade, COL L., and additional commanders. The Chief of the General Staff spoke with soldiers and was presented with defensive preparations and operational plans.

IDF: Following the terrorist infiltration alert in Kiryat Netafim, IDF and Israel Police forces were dispatched to the scene and apprehended the suspect. Following an examination, it was determined to have been a criminal incident, and the suspicion of a terrorist infiltration was ruled out.


IDF: Overnight, the IDF struck dozens of terrorists, terror infrastructure sites, and launching areas in the Gaza Strip. One of the targets was the command center of Hamas’ Daraj Tuffah battalion, which was used to plan attacks on Israeli civilians and IDF troops.

The IDF will continue to operate against Hamas and remove any threat to the citizens of the State of Israel.


IDF: Over the past day, the IDF and ISA struck dozens of terror targets and terrorists throughout the Gaza Strip, including Hamas commanders. The strikes were conducted to damage the terrorist organizations’ military and governmental capabilities and to remove threats to the State of Israel and its citizens.

In these strikes, the IDF and ISA eliminated the terrorist Yasser Muhammad Harb Musa. Alongside his military activities, Musa was responsible for security affairs in Hamas’ political bureau and former head of the development office within the organization’s executive committee. IDF: Over the past day, IDF troops began targeted ground activities in the central and southern Gaza Strip in order to expand the security zone and to create a partial buffer between northern and southern Gaza. As part of the ground activities, the troops expanded their control further to the center of the Netzarim Corridor.

Simultaneously, it was decided that the Golani Brigade would be stationed in the Southern Command area and will remain ready for operations in the Gaza Strip.

The IDF will continue to operate against terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip in order to protect the citizens of the State of Israel.

Joint IDF and ISA Announcement:

Today (Wednesday), the IDF and ISA are continuing extensive strikes throughout the Gaza Strip. Over the past few hours, the IAF struck a vehicle with two Hamas terrorists in southern Gaza, terror infrastructure, a surveillance post, and additional terrorists.

The IDF and ISA are striking terror targets throughout the Gaza Strip and will continue to operate against terrorist organizations and remove any threat to the citizens of the State of Israel.
