IDF: The Commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), General (* * * *) Michael “Erik” Kurilla, arrived in Israel this week (Tuesday) as the official guest of the Chief of the General Staff, LTG. Eyal Zamir.
CENTCOM Commander and the Chief of the General Staff held a joint meeting with senior IDF commanders, during which they discussed strategic security issues across the region.
This meeting serves as another reinforcement of the strategic, ironclad relationship between the IDF and the U.S. military.

IDF: IDF, ISA, and Israel Police forces are continuing to operate in northern Samaria, as part of the counterterrorism activity in the area.
Yesterday (Wednesday), several terrorists hurled explosive devices toward IDF soldiers in Silat al-Harithiya in the area of Jenin.
The soldiers responded with fire toward the terrorists to remove the threat, eliminating one terrorist and injuring two additional terrorists. No IDF injuries were reported.
Overnight, during additional activities, Israeli security forces apprehended eight suspects and confiscated two “Carlo” weapons.
The suspects who were apprehended and the confiscated weapons were transferred to the ISA and Israel Police for further questioning.
Israeli security forces will continue to operate to thwart terrorism in Judea and Samaria to maintain the security of Israeli civilians.

IDF: A short while ago, an IAF aircraft struck a Hezbollah terrorist who operated in the area of Aalma El Chaebin southern Lebanon.
Joint IDF and ISA Announcement:
A short while ago, the IDF and ISA struck prominent terrorists who were in a Hamas command and control center in the area of Gaza City.
The command and control center had been used by the terrorists to plan and execute attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops.
Prior to the strike, numerous steps were taken to mitigate harm to civilians including the use of aerial surveillance and additional intelligence.
The Hamas terrorist organization systematically violates international law while taking over civilian infrastructure, and while brutally exploiting the civilian population as a human shield for its terror attacks. The IDF and ISA will continue to operate against Hamas to protect the State of Israel.
Joint IDF and Israel Police Announcement:
Earlier today (Thursday), IDF soldiers identified suspicious vehicle movement in the area of Beit Yosef.
IDF and Israel Police forces were dispatched to the scene and located 15 sacks that had been hurled toward the border fence with Jordan, containing approximately 150 kilograms of drugs.
Following a pursuit by the security forces, two residents from Kafr Misr were apprehended and transferred along with the confiscated drugs for further processing by the Israel Police.
Israeli security forces will continue to operate to thwart smuggling attempts along the eastern border.
