IDF: *The IDF Eliminated the Deputy Head of Hezbollah’s Unit 4400*

A short while ago, the IAF conducted an intelligence-based strike on the terrorist Hussein Ali Nasr, who served as deputy head of Hezbollah’s Unit 4400.

During his role, Nasr operated to smuggle weapons and funds into the State of Lebanon in order to rebuild the Hezbollah terrorist organizations’ military capabilities. As part of this effort, he collaborated with Iranian operatives to facilitate the transfer of weapons and funds into Lebanon, including through the Beirut International Airport.

Nasr maintained contact with employees of the airport who secretly operate for Hezbollah and assist with smuggling operations. In addition, he promoted and led weapons procurement deals with smugglers along the Syria-Lebanon border. Moreover, he oversaw the terrorist organizations’ reinforcement and military build-up process.

During the “Swords of Iron” war, and as part of operation “Northern Arrows”, the IAF, guided by precise intelligence, conducted extensive strikes and targeted eliminations aimed at disrupting the 4400 unit’s ongoing activities and the weapons smuggling routes used the Hezbollah terrorist organization in Lebanon.

Furthermore, the commander of Unit 4400 Muhammad Ja’far Qasir was eliminated along with his deputy Ali Hassan Gharib.

IDF: A short while ago, a number of Israeli civilians entered the area of the security barrier, that separates Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip but did not cross into Gaza.

IDF troops were dispatched to the scene and returned the civilians safely. The civilians were transferred to the Israel Police for further questioning.

The IDF emphasizes that these civilians did not cross into the Gaza Strip. Going near the security barrier is dangerous and disturbs the security forces’ operational activity in the area.

IDF: A short while ago, a terrorist fired at IDF soldiers in the area of Homesh in the Samaria Regional Brigade. The soldiers responded with fire, and neutralized the terrorist. No IDF injuries were reported.

IDF: A short while ago, the IDF struck several launchers and a military infrastructure site from which Hezbollah terrorists operated in the area of Nabatieh in southern Lebanon.

Additionally, earlier today (Sunday), the IDF struck and eliminated in the area of Houla in southern Lebanon, the terrorist who served as the head of engineering of Hezbollah in the Odaisseh compound.

These activities of the Hezbollah terrorist organization constitute a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon, and pose a threat to Israeli civilians.
