IDF Updates – June 25th

IDF: The Home Front Command Is Deployed Across the State of Israel To Provide a Rapid and Effective Response to Emergency Scenarios

Since the start of Operation “Rising Lion”, approximately 26,000 Home Front Command reservists have been called up, including around 50 battalions specializing in rescue and light infantry. These personnel are operating at more than 170 locations across the nation and have taken part in activity at over 25 different impact sites. The average response time of Home Front Command personnel to the scene of an incident is approximately 15 minutes.

So far, more than 21,000 alerts have been issued to the public through the Home Front Command’s alert systems. The Home Front Command Information Center (hotline 104) has recorded approximately 300 million visits to the National Emergency Portal website, handled over one million civilian inquiries, and around 5 million residents are actively using the Home Front Command app for alerts, guidelines, and preparations.

To carry out all assigned missions, the Home Front Command is operating a wide range of logistical assets, including approximately 120 heavy machinery vehicles, 640 towing pickup trucks, 430 trucks, 20 cranes, and 70 ambulances.

The call center dedicated for handling civilian inquiries, established as part of Operation “Safe Return” and operated by the Alon Headquarters, began functioning on Thursday, June 19. So far, the center has handled approximately 11,000 phone calls and an additional 6,000 inquiries received via WhatsApp.
As part of the operation, over 7,200 Israeli citizens returned via the maritime route aboard five passenger ships which were docked at the Port of Ashdod. In addition, more than 4,700 foreign nationals returned to their home countries.

In addition to the Home Front Command’s activities, troops from the 646th Brigade have operated this week at various impact sites. Troops from the LOTAR Counter-Terrorism Unit searched buildings and carried out complex rescue missions. Troops from the Oketz Unit also joined the effort to locate missing persons and casualties aided by Oketz dogs and specialized techniques. The Home Front Command and the 646th Brigade will continue to operate in coordination with all emergency and rescue systems, with professionalism and determination, for the protection of the home front.

IDF: The Chief of the General Staff in a situational assessment as the ceasefire took effect: “Despite the phenomenal achievement — we must keep our feet on the ground. Many challenges still lie ahead. We must stay focused, there’s no time to rest on our laurels.”

Today (Tuesday), Chief of the General Staff LTG Eyal Zamir conducted a situational assessment with members of the General Staff Forum, following the beginning of the ceasefire with Iran.

From the Chief of the General Staff’s remarks: “We have concluded a significant phase, but the campaign against Iran is not over. We are entering a new phase based on the achievements of the current one. We’ve set Iran’s nuclear project back by years, and the same applies to its missile program. The IDF performed at its best — the Intelligence Directorate delivered unprecedented intelligence achievements. IAF pilots operated with courage, while putting their lives at risk, thousands of kilometers from Israeli territory and struck and destroyed military targets. The Aerial Defense Array and communication units operated with their unique operational capabilities to protect the home front. Home Front Command personnel acted with ingenuity to save lives — all coordinated under the Operations Directorate. Every command, directorate, and branch contributed to the success of the operation — whether through direct participation in the Iran operation or through robust defense in their respective arenas.
Despite the phenomenal achievement — we must keep our feet on the ground. Many challenges still lie ahead. We must stay focused, there’s no time to rest on our laurels.
Now the focus shifts back to Gaza — to bring the hostages home and to dismantle the Hamas regime. I am proud to have the privilege to command the organization through this period.
