IDF: Yesterday (Wednesday), the Commander of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), General (* * * *) Michael “Erik” Kurilla, visited Israel as the official guest of the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir.
During his visit, the General held a joint panel with the Chief of the General Staff and senior IDF commanders, during which the achievements of Operation “Rising Lion” and the current situation in nearby and distant arenas were presented.
Later, the CENTCOM Commander visited the IAF Underground Operations Center with the Commander of the IAF, Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar, and other senior commanders.
The IDF places great importance on its connection and coordination with the United States Armed Forces and expresses its gratitude for the strategic coordination during the recent operation.

IDF: A short while ago, the IDF conducted an intelligence-based strike on military sites, including weapons storage facilities, military structures, and terrorist infrastructure belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization in southern Lebanon.
The presence of weapons and Hezbollah’s activity constitutes a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.
The IDF will continue to operate in order to remove any threat posed to the state of Israel.

In the incident in which Sergeant Asaf Zamir fell, two soldiers in the 53rd Armored Corps Battalion, 188th Battalion were severely injured.
The soldiers were evacuated to a hospital to receive medical treatment, and their families have been notified.

IDF: The IDF and ISA eliminated a Lebanese Terrorist Who Advanced Terrorist Attacks on the Northern Front on Behalf of the Iranian ‘Quds Force’
Yesterday (Thursday), directed by precise IDF and ISA intelligence, the IDF struck and eliminated the terrorist Qasem Salah al-Husseini in the area of Kafr Sil. Al-Husseini was a Lebanese terrorist who advanced terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops on the northern front on behalf of the Iranian ‘Quds Force’.
Al-Husseini was a key figure in the weapons smuggling route from Iran through Syria to various locations in both the northern sector and in Judea and Samaria, while maintaining relationships with Syrian and Lebanese arms dealers. Al-Husseini operated under the direction of the Iranian ‘Quds Force’ and assisted efforts to smuggle weapons into Israel that were intended to be used to carry out terrorist attacks.
Al-Husseini’s elimination further degrades multiple terrorist networks’ weapons arming efforts on the northern front and in Judea and Samaria which aim to harm Israeli civilians and IDF troops.
The IDF and ISA will continue to operate to remove any threat posed to Israeli civilians.
