“We will continue to fight for our country, in memory of our comrades”

Yesterday (Sunday), a new IDF situation room for the Nahal Oz area was installed in the Re’im Camp, less than a month after the surprise, murderous massacre by the Hamas terrorist organization. During the events of October 7th, the soldiers bravely carried out their mission alongside additional IDF forces who fought to defend the area that day.

The newly-built situation room is designed to allow the observers of the 414th Battalion, who are responsible for the defense in the Northern Gaza Brigade, to fulfill their mission.

Commanding Officer of the 414th Battalion, LTC Ofir: “The story of the Nahal Oz situation room will forever be the story of heroic actions and fighting in the face of an enemy. We will bow our heads in memory of the fallen, embrace and strengthen the beloved families who are an inseparable part of the 414th Battalion from now on and forever.”

Commander of the Nahal Oz situation room, SGT A’: “Nahal Oz is our home. Anyone who has ever been there will testify. Nahal Oz is a situation room with special character, which will remain even if our current location has changed. We established a new situation room in Reim, but our spirit is still the spirit of Nahal Oz, and we will continue to fight for our country, in memory of our comrades and the home we rebuilt.”
