IDF Updates – August 13th

IDF: Yesterday(Monday), the IAF struck Hezbollah military structures in the areas of Kfarkela, Marwahin, and Meiss El Jabal.

Additionally, the IAF struck a Hezbollah observation post in the area of Ayta ash Shab in southern Lebanon.

IDF: The IDF struck terror targets in the area from which projectiles were launched toward the area of Ein Hashlosha yesterday (Monday)

Yesterday (Monday), a projectile was identified crossing from the Gaza Strip and fell in an open area in the area of Ein HaShlosha. Shortly afterward, the IAF struck the terrorist cell that carried out the launches and additional terrorist infrastructure in the area from which the launches were identified.

IDF troops continue operational activity in the area of Khan Yunis. Over the past day, the troops dismantled combat compounds, terrorist infrastructure sites and eliminated terrorists, including terrorists from Hamas’ Rockets Unit.

Furthermore, IDF troops are continuing precise, intelligence-based operational activity in the Rafah area. The troops located large amounts of weapons, including explosives, military equipment, and intelligence materials. In addition, the IAF struck terror targets in the area from which anti-tank missile launches toward IDF troops were identified. No injuries were reported in the incident.

Moreover, IDF operational activity continues in central Gaza. The troops struck terrorist infrastructure sites, including launch posts, sniper posts, military structures, and observation posts.

IDF: Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in northern Israel, a UAV that crossed from Lebanon was successfully intercepted by the IDF Aerial Defense Array.
Simultaneously, an additional UAV was intercepted in Lebanese territory.
No injuries were reported.

IDF: Today (Tuesday), the Military Prosecution requested to extend the detention of those suspected of abusing a detainee, under full house arrest, until next Thursday, in order to complete the investigation.

During this period, investigation materials will gradually be transferred to the defense and the suspects will be given a pre-trial detention report. Upon completion of the investigation, it will be possible for the defense, if it wishes, to conduct a hearing.


IDF: A short while ago, a projectile that was identified crossing from the Gaza Strip fell in the maritime space in central Israel.
In accordance with protocol, no sirens were sounded.

Simultaneously, an additional projectile that did not cross into Israeli territory was identified.

In the searches, the soldiers located an armed terrorist cell and, with a precise strike, eliminated the terrorists. The soldiers also located and destroyed rigged buildings and hideout pits.

The soldiers engaged in a gunfight with a terrorist cell who barricaded themselves in an apartment in the heart of a civilian neighborhood and successfully eliminated the terrorists. Following the gunfight, the soldiers entered the building where they located weapons, military vests and an operational tunnel shaft.

IDF: Earlier today (Tuesday), the IAF eliminated two Hezbollah terrorists from the Hezbollah Southern Front in the area of Baraachit.

In addition, the IDF identified Hezbollah terrorists operating in an observation post in the area of Har Dov. Promptly afterward, an IDF tank struck the terrorists.

IDF: Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in the area of Malkia in northern Israel, approximately 15 projectiles were identified crossing from Lebanon into Israeli territory and falling in open areas. No injuries were reported.

Earlier today (Tuesday), the IAF operated in the areas of At Tiri and Zibqin in southern Lebanon to strike two Hezbollah launchers that were ready to launch rockets toward Israeli territory.

IDF: Earlier today (Tuesday), Hamas terrorists opened fire toward the Humanitarian Route in the area of Rafah.

Consequentially, movement and coordination along the Humanitarian Route has been temporarily halted as the area now constitutes an active combat zone.

The terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip continue to use any opportunity to carry out terror attacks against the State of Israel at the expense of Gazan civilians, including by abusing humanitarian routes and aid designated for the civilian population.

The IDF, via COGAT, will continue to operate in accordance with international law in order to allow and facilitate humanitarian aid for civilians in the Gaza Strip.
