This requires you to prepare a plan to transfer the medical equipment from north to south, so that you will be able to provide treatment for all the patients in the southern Strip and prepare the hospitals to receive the patients coming from the north, it is important to us that you receive this from an official source. We are going to provide you with a place to be in, whether it is a field hospital or any other hospital.”

IDF: The Chief of the General Staff to Kfir Brigade and Armored Corps Troops in Khan Yunis:
“We are advancing with the efforts toward operations in Gaza City. We already have troops operating on the outskirts of the city, and more forces will join them later on. Our missions remain the release of the hostages and the defeat of Hamas, we will not rest and we will not stop until we complete them. Achieving these missions are vital for our future and for our values as a society.”
“We have inflicted severe damage on Hamas. From the terrorist organization we experienced on October 7th, it has turned into a guerrilla organization. We will continue to strike Hamas everywhere, pursue them for as long as necessary and wherever necessary.”
The Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir, conducted a field tour today (Thursday) in the Gaza Strip together with the Commander of the Southern Command, MG Yaniv Asor, the Head of the Operations Directorate, MG Itzik Cohen, the Commander of the 36th Division, BG Moran Omer, the Commander of the Kfir Brigade, COL A., and other commanders.
As part of the tour, the Chief of the General Staff and the Commander of the Southern Command spoke with the troops and commanders of the Kfir Brigade and with troops from the 188th Brigade, and conducted a debrief at the point of contact with Hamas terrorists yesterday (Wednesday) in Khan Yunis. The Chief of the General Staff expressed appreciation to the troops for the alertness and vigilance that enabled a quick response and the elimination of most of the terrorists. He instructed the commanders to deepen the debrief and draw lessons from the event while continuing determined and professional activity.
From the remarks of the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir:
“We are in a challenging and intense multi-front war. The Gaza arena is our main effort. We are advancing with the efforts toward operations in Gaza City. We already have troops operating on the outskirts of the city, and more forces will join them later on. Our missions remain the release of the hostages and the defeat of Hamas, we will not rest and we will not stop until we complete them. They are vital for our future and for our values as a society.
We have dealt Hamas a very severe blow. It was once a terrorist organization and today it is a guerrilla organization. We will continue to strike Hamas everywhere, both inside and abroad. We will pursue them for as long as necessary and wherever necessary. The attempted attack thwarted here is significant. I value you and the way you acted. We must always be prepared and strengthen our patterns of action, vigilance, and sharpness. It is important to continue learning and drawing lessons. This event could have ended differently.
If you weren’t here, this terrorist cell would have reached the communities. Your presence here, alongside the operational activities, is part of the defense of our communities. That is our mission: to defend the communities and protect the civilians.
Yesterday we issued tens of thousands of reserve call-up orders for troops who will join here. We value the reservists and their families, they are doing sacred work. We call them only when it is necessary, and we trust them. I am confident they will report until the mission is complete.
We are in discussions with the political echelon regarding the plans going forward, while we are achieving the best operational results on the battlefield to present them with the widest range of options. Our struggle is still long, and many challenges lie ahead.
All of Israel is looking at you and relying on you. We have no alternative but victory. The Kfir Brigade will continue to stand firm and deliver results. I deeply appreciate your activity.”

IDF: Earlier today (Thursday), the IDF identified a launch from an area adjacent to the Nasser hospital in Khan Yunis, toward the main corridor for the transfer of aid trucks in the southern Gaza Strip.
The launch was carried out during the passage of a truck convoy which were heading to pick up humanitarian aid from the Kerem Shalom crossing, and fell at a distance of 300 meters from the corridor.
The launch is yet another example of the ongoing attempts by the terrorist organization to systematically and brutally sabotage the passage of humanitarian aid by the international organizations and disrupt the distribution of humanitarian aid to Gazan civilians.
