IDF Updates – December 15th

IDF: *IDF Troops Continue Operations Against Terrorist Operatives and Infrastructure in the Gaza Strip*
Following prior intelligence information indicating the presence of terrorists in the area, IDF and ISA forces conducted a targeted raid on a terrorist meeting point in the Beit Hanoun area. In cooperation with the IAF, the troops struck dozens of terrorists from both the air and ground, and additional terrorists were apprehended.
In Beit Layiheh, IDF troops eliminated terrorists and located and dismantled large quantities of weapons, including explosives and dozens of grenades.
Earlier today (Sunday), with the direction of IDF and ISA intelligence, the IAF struck terrorists who were operating within a command and control center in a compound that previously served as the “Abu Shabak” clinic in northern Gaza. The command and control center was used by Hamas to store weapons and plan and execute attacks against IDF troops and the State of Israel.
Furthermore, last night (Saturday), a terrorist cell planning imminent attacks against IDF troops was struck in three different locations in Gaza City by the IAF.
Prior to the strikes, numerous steps were taken to mitigate the risk of harming civilians, including the use of precise munitions, aerial surveillance, and additional intelligence information.

IDF: Footage of Weapons and Terrorist Infrastructure Located by the 98th Division in Southern Lebanon

‏Over the past three months, the 98th Division, including the combat teams of the 7th, Commando, and Paratroopers brigades, conducted several division-level operations in different areas in southern Lebanon, including Kfarkela, Al-Aadaissah, Rab El Thalathine, Markaba, Taybeh and Khiam.

‏In recent weeks, the division operated against military targets in the Khiam area, a town that served as a central Hezbollah stronghold and from which thousands of rockets were fired toward Israel. During their activities, the soldiers eliminated numerous terrorists and located and dismantled over 300 terrorist infrastructure sites.

‏Since the ceasefire agreement came into effect, the division’s troops have continued to operate in southern Lebanon, while adhering to the terms of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon. The troops have been operating in order to prevent Hezbollah from regrouping, locate weapons and terrorist infrastructure, and remove threats to the State of Israel and its citizens. The soldiers are currently preparing for upcoming missions. Additional IDF troops are continuing to operate in the area.

IDF: Joint IDF and ISA announcement:

Earlier today (Sunday), with the direction of IDF and ISA intelligence, the IAF conducted a precise strike on Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists who were operating in a command and control center embedded in the offices of the “Civil Defense” organization in Nuseirat.

The command and control center was used by the terrorists to plan and carry out an imminent terror attack against IDF troops.

Among the terrorists eliminated in the strike was the Islamic Jihad terrorist Ahmed Bakr al-Lawh, who previously served as a Platoon commander in the Islamic Jihad’s Central Camps Brigade.

Prior to the strike, numerous steps were taken to mitigate the risk of harming civilians, including the use of precise munitions, precise aerial surveillance, and additional intelligence.

The terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip systematically violate international law, exploiting civilian infrastructure and the Gazan population as human shields for terrorist activity. The IDF will continue to operate against terrorist organizations in defense of the citizens of Israel.

A Message from Shalom
