IDF: IDF Chief of the General Staff: We are exerting pressure on Hamas daily, driving it into greater distress, to ensure the return of the 100 hostages

Today (Wednesday), the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Herzi Halevi, conducted a situational assessment and tour in the Rafah area of the Gaza Strip. LTG Halevi was accompanied by the Commanding Officer of the Southern Command, MG Yaron Finkelman; the Commanding Officer of the Gaza Division, BG Barak Hiram; the Commanding Officer of the Nahal Brigade, COL Yair Zuckerman; and other senior commanders.

IDF: Initial Report – Sirens sounded in numerous areas in central Israel following a projectile that was launched from Yemen, details to follow.


IDF: Following the sirens that sounded in numerous areas in central Israel, the IAF intercepted one missile that was launched from Yemen, before crossing into Israeli territory.
Rocket and missile sirens were sounded following the possibility of fallen debris from the interception.


IDF:

“The IDF conducted precise strikes on Houthi military targets in Yemen – including ports and energy infrastructure in Sana’a, which the Houthis have been using in ways that effectively contributed to their military action. Israel will not hesitate to act in order to defend itself and its citizens from the Houthi attacks.”

IDF: Overnight (Thursday), a missile was fired from Yemen toward Israeli territory. Sirens were activated across central Israel. Following the interception of the missile, damage to a school in Ramat Efal was identified. No injuries were reported. The circumstances surrounding the impact are under review.

IDF: Following the sirens sounded between 11:45 and 11:46 in the areas of Magen and Ein HaBesor in southern Israel, a UAV that crossed from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory was intercepted by the IAF. No injuries were reported.


IDF: Overnight (Thursday), a missile was fired from Yemen toward Israeli territory. Following an initial inquiry by the IAF, and an examination of the findings at the scene of impact at a school in Ramat Efal in central Israel, it is likely that the damage was caused by partial interception of the missile launched from Yemen and that the missile warhead was the part that exploded and damaged the school.

Security forces are looking into damage caused by falling shrapnel in additional areas.

The IAF and the Home Front Command are investigating the matter. Once the investigation is complete, the findings will be made available to the public.


IDF: The IDF Continues Defensive Activity to Remove Threats in Southern Lebanon

Troops of the 300th Brigade combat team, under the command of the 146th Division, continue defensive activities to remove threats in southern Lebanon.

During the activity, the troops located a weapons storage facility containing anti-tank missiles, an artillery cannon, explosives, and rocket launchers. Additionally, they identified launch positions aimed at Israeli territory, along with a staging position used by the Hezbollah terrorist organization. All of the weapons were confiscated and dismantled.

The brigade’s troops are deployed across southern Lebanon and along the border to protect the citizens of Israel in accordance with the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.
