IDF Updates – February 23rd

IDF: A short while ago, the IDF conducted a precise intelligence-based strike on a military site containing rocket launchers and weapons in Lebanese territory, in which Hezbollah activity was identified.

Additionally, several rocket launchers that posed an imminent threat to Israeli civilians were struck in southern Lebanon.

These activities of the Hezbollah terrorist organization are in violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon and pose a threat to the State of Israel and its civilians.

The IDF will continue to operate to remove any threat to the State of Israel.


IDF: A short while ago, the IDF struck military sites containing rocket launchers and weapons where Hezbollah activity was identified in the area of Baalbek and several additional areas in southern Lebanon.

These activities of the Hezbollah terrorist organization are in violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon and constitute a threat to the State of Israel and its civilians.

The IDF will continue to operate to remove any threat to the State of Israel.


Joint IDF and ISA Announcement:

Yesterday (Saturday), IDF, ISA, and Israel Police forces conducted counterterrorism activities in Judea and Samaria.
The security forces apprehended 26 terrorists, confiscated three guns and additional weapons, and questioned suspected individuals.

As part of the counterterrorism operation in northern Samaria, the security forces continued their activities in Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nur Shams, and expanded operations to other towns in the area of Jenin the morning (Sunday). Terrorists in the areas of Nablus, Qabatiya, and Deir Qaddis were also apprehended.

Joint IDF and Israel Police Announcement:

Yesterday evening (Saturday), during joint Israel Police and IDF activity, the security forces prevented a weapons smuggling attempt in the Jordan Valley area.

During the activity, approximately 15 M-16 rifles were confiscated, which were intended to be smuggled into Israeli territory. According to assessments, the weapons were intended to be used by criminal individuals or terrorist organizations, posing a threat to the citizens of the State of Israel.

Israeli security forces will continue to operate against the smuggling of weapons across the Jordanian border, in order to prevent weapons from reaching hostile forces. This activity, which is being carried out in cooperation between all operational authorities, is…

IDF: Following a situational assessment held by the Chief of General Staff LTG Herzi Halevi, the Minister of Defense, Israel Katz, it has been determined that as of today (Sunday) 20:00, the area of the Confrontation Line will change from Partial Activity to Full Activity.

Guidelines published on the official Home Front Command channels must be followed by the public. Full guidelines are updated on the National Emergency Portal and the Home Front Command app.
