IDF Updates – July 25th

IDF: Yesterday (Tuesday), numerous projectiles were launched from the area of Chihine in southern Lebanon toward Israeli territory. Overnight, the IAF struck a Hezbollah military structure in the area.
Moreover, a weapons storage facility was struck in the area of Kfarhamam. During the strike, secondary explosions were identified, indicating that numerous weapons were located inside the storage facility.

IDF: Following the sirens that sounded at 09:54 in the western Galilee area, an interceptor was launched toward a suspicious aerial target that turned out to be a false identification.
The siren that sounded was activated due to the danger of falling shrapnel from the interception. No injuries were reported.


IDF: The IAF struck a Hezbollah military structure and an observation post in the area of Tayr Harfa in southern Lebanon.

In addition, the IAF struck Hezbollah observation posts in the areas of Khilat al-Daba and Kfarkela.

A Tunnel Shaft and Weapons Located Inside a Children’s Bedroom in the Rafah Area by the 401st Brigade

Over the past few weeks, the 401st Brigade has been conducting precise, intelligence-based operations against terrorist infrastructure and operatives in ​​Tel al-Sultan and Shabura in the Rafah area. During scans in the area, the troops located a tunnel shaft, a large number of weapons, and night vision equipment inside a children’s bedroom in a civilian building.

In another activity, the soldiers of the 52nd Battalion engaged in close-quarters combat with armed terrorists inside a building in the Tel al-Sultan area and eliminated the terrorists.

IDF: The IDF and ISA rescued the bodies of the murdered hostage Maya Goren, and of the fallen soldiers held captive Master Sergeant (Res.) Oren Goldin, Staff Sergeant Tomer Ahimas and Sergeant Kiril Brodski, from the Khan Yunis area

Yesterday (Wednesday), during an IDF operation led by ISA field analysts and coordinators, the bodies of the murdered hostage Maya Goren, and of the fallen soldiers held captive Master Sergeant (Res.) Oren Goldin, Staff Sergeant Tomer Ahimas, and Sergeant Kiril Brodski were rescued from the Khan Yunis area.

According to reliable intelligence obtained, it was determined that Maya Goren was murdered, and Master Sergeant (Res.) Oren Goldin, Staff Sergeant Tomer Ahimas, and Sergeant Kiril Brodski fell in combat during the brutal October 7th attack, and their bodies were abducted to the Gaza Strip.

The rescue was conducted yesterday by ISA and IDF soldiers from the Commando Brigade, ‘Yahalom’ Unit, and Egoz Unit with the direction of the 98th Division.

The intelligence effort prior to the operation was directed by the ISA and consisted of a combination of intelligence from ISA terrorist interrogations, the IDF Intelligence Directorate Hostages Headquarters and additional sources that contributed to the operation.

Alongside the operational effort, the IDF Hostage and Missing Persons Unit and the Manpower Directorate’s Hostage and Missing Persons Center, which is responsible for accompanying the families of the hostages, operated with The National Center of Forensic Medicine and the Israel Police to identify and inform the families of the hostages.

The IDF and ISA will continue to operate, using all intelligence and operational means to fulfill the supreme mission of rescuing all of the hostages.


Joint IDF and ISA announcement:

It has been cleared for publication that during the joint IDF and ISA operation, the body of the fallen soldier held captive Sergeant Major (Res.) Ravid Aryeh Katz, who fell in combat during the brutal October 7th attacks and whose body was abducted to the Gaza Strip, was also rescued.

The rescue was carried out yesterday (Wednesday), alongside the rescue of the bodies of hostage Maya Goren, and of the fallen soldiers held captive Master Sergeant (Res.) Oren Goldin, Staff Sergeant Tomer Ahimas and Sergeant Kiril Brodski.

The IDF and ISA will continue to operate to bring the hostages home.


IDF: Overnight (Wednesday), the IAF struck Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure in the areas of Odaisseh, Meiss El Jabal and Chihine in southern Lebanon. Additionally, yesterday, the IDF struck Hezbollah military structures in the area of Khiam.

Furthermore, IDF Artillery struck several areas in southern Lebanon.


IDF: Initial report – A short while ago, a report was received regarding a shooting attack adjacent to Nabi Ilyas. The details are under review.


IDF: Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in northern Israel, the IDF Aerial Defense Array successfully intercepted a suspicious aerial target that crossed from Lebanon into the area of Bar’am. No injuries were reported.
Rocket and missile sirens were sounded following the possibility of falling shrapnel from the interception.

Additionally, the IDF Aerial Defense Array successfully intercepted a suspicious aerial target over the coast of Nahariya. The target did not cross into Israeli territory and sirens were not sounded in accordance with protocol.


IDF: IDF troops continue operational activity in the areas of Khan Yunis, Rafah and the central Gaza Strip

Over the past few days, during IDF operations against terrorist infrastructure and operatives in the area of Khan Yunis, the troops eliminated dozens of terrorists and dismantled approximately 50 terrorist infrastructure sites.

The IDF is continuing precise, intelligence-based operational activity in the area of Rafah. In one incident in the area, IDF troops identified two terrorists and directed an IAF aircraft to eliminate them.

The IDF is continuing operational activity in the central Gaza Strip. Yesterday, in coordination with the IAF, terrorist infrastructure was dismantled by IDF troops.

Over the past day, over 60 terror targets were struck by the IAF throughout the Gaza Strip, including military structures and terrorist infrastructure.

IDF: Following the initial report regarding a shooting attack adjacent to Nabi Ilyas, terrorists fired from a passing vehicle at IDF soldiers who were securing a route in the area. One soldier was moderately injured and two additional soldiers were lightly injured as a result of the attack. The soldiers have been evacuated to a hospital to receive medical treatment and their families have been notified.
IDF soldiers are pursuing the terrorists and are reinforcing security on routes and towns in the area.


IDF: Failed Hamas launches from the Humanitarian Area hit the UNRWA ‘Al-Qarara’ school in the area of Khan Yunis, killing and injuring multiple civilians

Yesterday (Wednesday), the Hamas terrorist organization launched numerous projectiles from the Humanitarian Area in Khan Yunis. The projectiles did not cross into Israeli territory and instead fell in the area of the UNRWA ‘Al-Qarara’ school in Khan Yunis.

Following the failed launches, numerous hits were identified in the area of the school, and reports were received from international humanitarian organizations regarding the deaths of two civilians and the injuries of multiple others. Consequently, in coordination with the Coordination and Liaison Administration to Gaza in COGAT and the World Health Organization (WHO), the injured civilians were evacuated to receive initial medical treatment at the International Medical Corps (IMC) field hospital in Dier al Balah, which was established during the war.

The Hamas terrorist organization’s rocket fire continues to endanger both Israeli and Gazan civilians alike, damage international humanitarian infrastructure and violate international law.

IDF: The Commanding Officer of the Israeli Air Force Met With the Heads of the Local Authorities in the North

Yesterday (Wednesday), the Commanding Officer of the Israeli Air Force, Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar met with the heads of the local authorities in the “Ramat David” Air Force Base along with additional commanders from the IAF and the Northern Command.

As part of the meeting, a discussion was held with the heads of the local authorities in which the main points of the operational situational assessment were presented, an overview of the IAF’s activities in the war was given, and a visit to an operational squadron and a tour of Kiryat Shmona were conducted. The Commanding Officer of the Israeli Air Force emphasized the responsibility that the IAF has in the task of defending the North.

From the remarks of the Commanding Officer of the Israeli Air Force, Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar: “We are ready for war. There is full responsibility on the Israeli Air Force to implement all the operational plans. And there will be a knockout punch as lethal as possible, against an enemy we are familiar with, and there will be surprises. Who was the target of the strike against the Houthis? It was aimed at the entire Middle East, both at Nasrallah and Iran. And on this topic, I’ll tell you that throughout the entire war we have maintained and are maintaining an ability that if a war breaks out in the North and with Iran, we will rise to the occasion. IDF: Today (Thursday), BG Shlomi Binder was promoted to the rank of Major General, in a ceremony held at Camp Rabin (The Kirya). The ceremony was presided over by the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Herzi Halevi, in the presence of the Minister of Defense, Yoav Gallant, members of the General Staff Forum, and other commanders. MG Binder is set to assume his position as the Head of the Intelligence Directorate (J2) next week.
