IDF Updates – July 3rd

IDF: Following the initial report regarding a shooting incident in the area of Har Brakha, a shooting was carried out from inside the city of Nablus toward the area of Mitzpe Yosef.
As a result of the shooting, an Israeli civilian was injured, received initial medical treatment at the scene and was evacuated to the hospital for further treatment. A large number of IDF soldiers are currently scanning for the suspects.

During the scans, the soldiers exchanged fire with armed terrorists. Hits were identified.

IDF: Following the sirens that sounded at 17:00 and 17:06 regarding rocket and missile fire in northern Israel, approximately 15 projectiles were identified crossing from Lebanon, and 10 were successfully intercepted by the IDF Aerial Defense Array. No injuries were reported.

Additionally, IDF troops identified a terrorist entering a Hezbollah military structure in the area of Yarine in southern Lebanon. Shortly following the identification, the IAF struck the military structure from which the terrorist operated.

IDF: New IDF Brigade Completes Exercise to Increase Readiness in the Northern Arena

Last week, the HeHarim Regional Brigade (810) completed their first brigade-level exercise, which included offensive scenarios in Lebanon, combat in areas of thicket, urban warfare and close-quarters combat.

The HeHarim Brigade, under the command of the 210th Division, was established as part of adapting the operational response given the changing reality on the Syrian and Lebanese borders. The brigade will defend the Mount Hermon and Mount Dov areas.

At the end of the exercise, a ceremony was held in which the brigade’s official tag was revealed for the first time.

The IDF continues to defend the State of Israel and the residents of the north, and to adapt according to operational necessity.

IDF: Overnight, the IAF struck Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure sites in the areas of Blida, Yaroun, and Tayr Harfa in southern Lebanon. Moreover, the IAF struck a Hezbollah military structure in the area of Aitaroun. Additionally, IDF artillery struck to remove threats in the areas of Labbouneh and Chihine.

IDF: IDF operational activities continue throughout the Gaza Strip

In the area of Shejaiya, IDF troops eliminated terrorists, located weapons, and dismantled terror infrastructure sites. Over the past day, the IAF struck and dismantled over 50 terror infrastructure sites. Moreover, during targeted raids, IDF troops located operational tunnel shafts and weaponry, including AK-47 rifles, grenades, magazines, and additional military equipment.

Furthermore, IDF troops continue operational activities in central Gaza, where terrorists who posed a threat to IDF troops were eliminated in IAF strikes.

The IDF is continuing a targeted, intelligence-based operational activity in the Rafah area. In cooperation with IDF ground troops, the IAF dismantled several terror infrastructure sites and eliminated terrorists in the area.

IDF: Last night (Tuesday), during a joint IDF and ISA operational activity in Nur Shams, four terrorists were identified attempting to plant explosive devices in proximity to a site at which an explosive was detonated two days prior (Monday). The planting of the explosive devices was designed to attack IDF soldiers operating in the area.

Following the identification, an IDF aircraft carried out a precise strike on the terrorist cell, eliminating four terror operatives who were a significant part of terrorist infrastructure in Nur Shams: Muhammad Shehade, Muhammad Kanouah, Yazid Shafa, and Namer Ibrahim.
