IDF: Last night, eight UAVs launched from Iran were intercepted by the Israeli Navy’s missile ships; for the first time, an interception was carried out using the ‘Barak Magen’ aerial defense system

For the first time, the ‘Barak Magen’ aerial defense system and the long-range air defense system ‘LRAD’ were operationally employed. The interceptor, which is installed on the INS Sa’ar 6 missile ship, is capable of countering a wide range of threats, including UAVs, cruise missiles, high-trajectory threats, shore-to-sea missiles, and more.

Overnight, the Israeli Navy’s missile ship flotilla intercepted eight UAVs launched from Iran. Since the beginning of the operation, it has intercepted approximately 25 unmanned aerial vehicles that posed a threat to the civilians of the State of Israel.

The missile ships of Flotilla 3, in coordination with the Israeli Air Force, continue to be deployed across all arenas and serve as a force multiplier in the mission of defending the skies of Israel.

IDF: Following the statement by the IDF Spokesperson, BG Effie Defrin:

The IDF Has Destroyed One-Third of the Iranian Regime’s Missile Launchers

The Israeli Air Force destroyed more than 20 surface-to-surface missiles last night before they were launched toward the State of Israel

The Israeli Air Force completed several waves of strikes overnight, targeting approximately 100 military targets in Isfahan, central Iran.

As part of the strikes, approximately 50 fighter jets and aircraft identified and struck missile storage sites, surface-to-surface missile launchers that were ready for launch toward the State of Israel, and command centers where launch squads were preparing to carry out launches toward the territory of the State of Israel.

In these strikes, more than 20 missiles were simultaneously struck, minutes before they were to be launched toward Israel’s home front.

In one of the strikes, after a missile launch cell was identified in real-time attempting to launch surface-to-surface missiles toward the State of Israel, the IAF eliminated the launch cell and destroyed the missiles.

Since the beginning of the operation, more than 120 missile launchers—constituting one-third of the Iranian regime’s total launchers—have been destroyed.

IDF: The IDF Eliminated Four Senior Iranian Intelligence Officials, Including the IRGC’s Head of Intelligence

Yesterday (Sunday), IAF fighter jets, following precise IDF intelligence, struck a structure in Tehran where several senior officials from Iranian intelligence organizations were located.
In the strike, the Head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence Organization and his deputy, as well as the Head of the Quds Force Intelligence Department and his deputy, were all eliminated. These officials played a central role in shaping Iran’s strategic assessments and planning terrorist attacks against Israel, the West, and countries in the Middle East.

The Head of the Intelligence Organization Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Mohammad Kazemi, who has held the position since 2022, was responsible for counterintelligence, espionage, and targeting opponents of the Iranian regime within Iran.
In his role, Kazemi oversaw intelligence gathering for terrorist activities and the monitoring of Iranian citizens to suppress dissent and preserve the Iranian regime. His deputy, Mohammad Hassan Mohaqiq, previously chaired the Strategic Intelligence Department and played a key role in the regime’s terrorist operations against Israel, the West, and countries in the Middle East.

The heads of the Quds Force Intelligence Directorate, Mohsen Bakri and his deputy Abu al-Fadl Nikouei, were primarily responsible for operational and intelligence support to members of the Iran’s Axis of Terror, including Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis, and militias in Iraq.
Bakri and Nikouei played a significant role in Iran’s efforts to reestablish its presence in Syria and supported Hezbollah’s military buildup in Lebanon.

The elimination of these senior figures follows the elimination of the Head of the Intelligence Directorate in the Iranian Armed Forces General Staff, who was struck last Friday. This marks a significant blow to the Iranian regime’s intelligence apparatus and its ability to carry out terrorist attacks against the State of Israel.

IDF: Commander of the Home Front Command, MG Rafi Milo: “Alongside every military action, personal responsibility in the home front is of utmost importance — follow the instructions.”

In recent days, troops of the Home Front Command have been operating at impact sites across the country, shoulder to shoulder with emergency organizations and local authorities.

From the statement of the Commander of the Home Front Command, MG Rafi Milo: “Even when the type of threat changes, the method of protection remains the same. Throughout the war, we have faced numerous and complex challenges, including the launching of missiles and UAVs toward the State of Israel. We are operating around the clock, striking every threat we identify and intercepting threats in real tim…

IDF: Following the briefing by the IDF Spokesperson, BG Effie Defrin

Attached is a video of the briefing by the IDF Spokesperson, BG Effie Defrin: https://bit.ly/4e3Fedv

Please find attached the translation of the briefing by the IDF Spokesperson, BG Effie Defrin:

We are now in the fourth day of Operation “Rising Lion”. The IDF continues its operational plan against the Iranian threat and is currently conducting a series of strikes at numerous sites across Iran. In response to our significant strikes, the Iranian regime is retaliating. The barrages it is launching come at a heavy cost, as we experienced again last night.

We have managed to thwart a large portion of the fire. Last night, two missile barrages were launched toward Israeli territory. A total of 65 missiles and dozens of UAVs were launched, most of which were intercepted by our aerial and naval defense systems.

Last night, we identified impacts in four different areas in northern and central Israel. Regrettably, eight civilians were killed, and dozens were injured. This is the face of the Iranian terror regime: while we target military and nuclear capabilities intended to destroy the State of Israel, they fire at population centers with the aim of harming civilians.

This is precisely why we launched the operation: to eliminate the existential threat posed to the State of Israel: the nuclear and missile threats.

I wish to extend strength to the families who were harmed and who lost their loved ones. IDF Home Front Command soldiers, alongside emergency and rescue services, are arriving at every impact site to assist in search efforts and save lives. Each event is subject to an inquiry and is reviewed in order to improve and refine home front defense.

Despite the complexity, the resilience and composure that you, the public, are demonstrating is commendable. Continue to act responsibly and follow the directives, they save lives. We see concrete evidence of this time and again.

We have faced difficult days before, and we will get through the coming days together. Please continue to follow the directives and remain alert.

At this time, we can say that we have achieved full aerial superiority over Tehran’s skies. We are targeting Iranian cells in real time as they launch missiles toward the State of Israel and our aircraft. The aerial capabilities we previously saw in Gaza, Lebanon, and Judea and Samaria are now operational in Iran.

Last night, we completed another wave of strikes in Tehran during which we targeted over twenty command centers of the Iranian military and the Quds Force. We eliminated the Head of the IRGC Intelligence Organization and his deputy, as well as the head and deputy head of the Quds Force Intelligence Organization.

The Quds Force is the central terror arm of the Iranian regime. It is responsible for operating Iran’s proxies around Israel’s borders and for distributing weapons and missiles intended for attacking the State of Israel. The Quds Force has been the main conduit for many of the terrorist attacks and assaults against Israel in recent decades. Now, the command centers where these attacks were planned have been completely destroyed.

Last night’s wave of strikes began with precision strikes on aerial defense systems that protected core strongholds of the Iranian military and Quds Force in central Iran. After we struck the air defenses, we targeted the command centers using dozens of aircraft simultaneously. These included command centers of the Iranian nuclear project. The headquarters were deliberately placed in civilian buildings and high-rises. The regime’s leaders believed that doing so would hide them and keep them immune. They were mistaken. The Intelligence Directorate located them, and the Israeli Air Force struck them with precision and accuracy.

Wave after wave. Strike after strike.

And it’s not just in Tehran—it’s all across Iran. Last night, we carried out a wide-scale strike at multiple sites in central Iran. Over fifty fighter jets and aircraft took part, striking and destroying over 120 surface-to-surface missile launchers, amounting to one-third of the launchers in the hands of the Iranian regime.

These are large launchers, some mounted on trucks and deployed across Iran. Each launcher was ready to fire dozens of missiles at Israel’s home front and strategic assets. These strikes caused the regime to launch only half of the missiles it had planned in last night’s barrage.

In addition to the launchers, we also struck missile storage and production sites. We are moving from launcher to launcher and eliminating this critical capability.

All of the strikes I have described here amount to a deep and comprehensive blow to the Iranian threat. We are continuing with our combat plan. The Chief of the General Staff has instructed to increase the strikes on surface-to-surface missile launchers. The Israeli Air Force is pushing eastward. We will reach more targets, conduct further strikes, and continue to act in pursuit of the operation’s objective, to neutralize the existential threat from Iran, from its nuclear project to the regime’s missile array.

This is a reminder of the magnitude of the mission and the very reason we launched this operation in the first place.

Alongside the strikes in Iran, IDF soldiers continue to operate in defense and offense across all arenas of combat—Gaza, Judea and Samaria, Yemen, and the northern border—against both close and distant threats. I spoke with commanders, both in the field and in headquarters—I heard determination, courage, and endless dedication. All IDF corps, in regular and reserve duty, air, ground, and sea, along with all logistical support systems, are operating around the clock to defend the security of the country and its citizens.

I emphasize once again, follow the Home Front Command’s directives. We will eliminate this threat. Difficult days still lie ahead. We will get through them together, and we will win.

I will continue to stand here, update you on every development, and answer every question. That is our duty.

IDF:
Following the briefing by the IDF Spokesperson, BG Effie Defrin

Attached is a video of the briefing by the IDF Spokesperson, BG Effie Defrin: https://bit.ly/4jPBeyw

Attached is the full transcript:
Good evening. This past day, our forces continued to expand our operational achievements in Iran. We are proceeding in accordance with a structured operational plan. Our aim is to remove the threat and target Iran’s nuclear program and missile infrastructure.

Throughout the day, the Israeli Air Force identified several trucks carrying weapons and surface-to-air missile launchers. The trucks attempted to evade IDF strikes, but were struck from the air, thereby preventing further launches toward the State of Israel.
We continue to operate against the threat of surface-to-air missiles, surface-to-surface missiles, and UAVs. We are striking military infrastructure, locating operatives and weapon systems, and eliminating them. They are attempting to flee toward the Tehran area, and we will continue to eliminate them. We are focusing our efforts on targeting launch sites, understanding that these actions will reduce and limit rocket fire toward Israel’s home front.

As part of ongoing operations, tonight I am presenting for the first time documentation of a UAV launch prevention. In the last few days, our aircraft identified launch cells, followed them while in motion, and struck them just minutes before launch.
This evening, a remotely piloted aircraft flew over Tehran International Airport and struck two Iranian F-14 fighter jets. This represents another loss of strategic weaponry for the enemy.
A few hours ago, we struck the communications center of the Iranian regime, which served Iran’s armed forces. The targeted facility also functions as Iran’s state broadcasting authority.
According to our intelligence, the center was used by military forces to advance operational activity under the cover of civilian assets and infrastructure. The site’s operations were directed by the IRGC— an organization that for years has called for the destruction of the State of Israel and the genocide of its people.
Prior to the strike, we warned the local population and evacuated the area to minimize harm to uninvolved civilians. This strike constitutes another blow to the IRGC’s military capabilities. As the Chief of the General Staff stated yesterday: Anyone who harms Israeli civilians will pay, and continue to pay, a heavy price.

I have just returned from the field. I visited one of the areas that was hit. I want to take this opportunity to address the families of those killed and injured — to express my sorrow, and to say that our hearts are with you. We stand beside you in these difficult times.
I want to once again emphasize: continue to act responsibly. A short while ago, sirens were heard in the north following a missile launch from Iran. More launches may occur tonight, targeting population centers across the country.
I understand the hardship caused by prolonged time in protected spaces, but remember — this saves lives. The safe room is the safest place during a siren, and you must continue to enter it when a warning is issued.
I ask you to keep following the defensive guidelines, just as you have until now, and you are truly to be commended for that. The instructions save lives. We will get through this together.

IDF soldiers and commanders continue to operate on all fronts. In Judea and Samaria, we are continuing our defensive missions. Our troops are conducting searches, maintaining high readiness and alertness.
In the Gaza Strip, IDF troops are eliminating terrorists and targeting terrorist organizations — in Jabaliya, Khan Yunis, northern Gaza, and every location where terror attempts to resurface.
We are continuing to pursue our mission in the area. Our method of operation…
