IDF: The IDF Completed a General Staff Exercise to Increase Readiness in the Northern Arena

This week, the IDF conducted an exercise in General Staff command centers as part of the IDF’s readiness for a campaign in the northern arena.

Regular and reservist soldiers participated in the exercise at the headquarters of the Northern Command and in all IDF branches and directorates. The exercise included scenarios simulating an expanded war in the northern arena, as well as multi-arena warfare.

As part of the exercise, the 36th Division conducted a broad division-level simulation that included combat scenarios in the northern arena.

During the exercise, the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Herzi Halevi, visited the Northern Command Operations Center, the command centers in the region and the Israeli Air Force Operations Center in the Kirya with the Commanding Officer of the Northern Command, MG Ori Gordin, the Commanding Officer of the Israeli Air Force, Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar, the Head of the Intelligence Directorate (J2), MG Aharon Haliva, the Head of the Operations Directorate (J3), MG Oded Basiuk and other commanders.

The IDF continues to strengthen its readiness at all times and learn lessons during the course of the war.

IDF: Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in the area of Nahariyya regarding a hostile aircraft infiltration, it was determined to be a false identification.

In addition, a short while ago, IAF fighter jets struck a Hezbollah military structure in the area of Ayta ash Shab, as well as Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure in the area of Tayr Harfa in southern Lebanon.

Furthermore, IDF soldiers fired to remove a threat in the area of Rachaya Al Foukhar in southern Lebanon.


IDF: Following the sirens sounded in the Western Galilee area regarding a hostile aircraft infiltration and rocket launches, an unsuccessful interception attempt was made against the hostile aircraft.

A fire broke out in the area, and fire rescue are currently working to put out the fire at the scene. No injuries were reported.


IDF: Overnight (Sunday), IDF fighter jets struck a Hezbollah launcher and military structures in the areas of Naqoura, Maroun El Ras, and Khiam in southern Lebanon.

IDF: The IDF located the body of Dolev Yehud

Following a scientific identification and a thorough analysis by the IDF in coordination with anthropological experts, the body of Dolev Yehud was found in Kibbutz Nir Oz.

Dolev Yehud (35), from Kibbutz Nir Oz, was a paramedic with United Hatzalah and MDA. During the brutal October 7th terror attacks, Dolev left his house in an attempt to save lives.
Dolev was murdered by the Hamas terror organization on the 7th of October, and his body was located in Kibbutz Nir Oz.

The IDF notified Dolev’s family following an identification process that was carried out by medical officials from the National Institute of Forensic Medicine and Shura military base.

IDF: A short while ago, the IDF ‘Arrow’ Aerial Defense System successfully intercepted a surface-to-surface missile that was fired from the direction of the Red Sea toward Israel. Rocket and missile sirens were sounded in the area of Eilat. No injuries were reported.


IDF: A short while ago, approximately 30 projectiles were identified crossing from Lebanon toward the northern Golan Heights. The projectiles fell in open areas.

Following the sirens that sounded earlier today (Monday) regarding a hostile aircraft infiltration, the IDF Aerial Defense Array successfully intercepted an explosive UAV that crossed from Lebanon near the area of Keren Naftali. In addition, an explosive UAV that was identified crossing from Lebanon fell in the area.

Simultaneously, an explosive UAV that crossed from Lebanon fell in the area of Metula.

Later on, another siren sounded in northern Israel, during which an interceptor was launched toward a suspicious aerial target that crossed from Lebanon. The incident has concluded.

No injuries were reported in either of the incidents.

Over the last few hours, an IAF aircraft struck a Hezbollah terrorist that was operating in the area of Naqoura. In addition, IAF fighter jets struck a Hezbollah military structure in the area of Hanine.

IDF: IDF Spokesperson, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari:

”Today we shared the devastating news with the families of 85 year old Amiram Cooper, one of the founders of Kibbutz Nir Oz, 80 year old Haim Perry from Kibbutz Nir Oz, 80 year old Yoram Metzger from Kibbutz Nir Oz and 51 year old Israeli-British citizen Nadav Popplewell from Kibbutz Nirim, that their loved ones were killed a few months ago during Hamas captivity in Gaza. Their bodies are still being held by Hamas.”

IDF: Over the past few hours, the IDF has been conducting a situational assessment with Israel Fire and Rescue Services to allocate additional means, forces, and firefighting capabilities in order to extinguish the fires in northern Israel.
At this stage, IDF reserve soldiers, engineer tools, mechanical equipment, fire trucks, and fire tanks were reinforced.

An IDF Home Front Command’s fire battalion is currently operating at the scene and assisting fire and rescue forces.
The forces gained control over the locations of fire, and at this stage, no human life is at risk.
The Commanding Officer of the Northern Command is currently arriving at the Kiryat Shmona Fire Station.

Six IDF reservist soldiers were lightly injured as a result of smoke inhalation and transferred to a hospital to receive medical treatment. Their families have been notified.
