IDF: Hamas Terrorist Eliminated While Planning Attacks From Inside UNRWA School Grounds

Earlier today (Friday), the Israeli Air Force with the direction of IDF intelligence and the ISA, targeted Hamas terrorists operating from a container inside the grounds of the ‘Asmaa’ UNRWA school in Shati, Gaza.

The container was used as a Hamas Operations Cell and a meeting point for Hamas operatives. Hamas terrorists inside the Operations Cell who were planning imminent attacks were eliminated. Hamas terrorists carried out terror attacks from the U.N. school premises while using it as a shield for their terror activities. Prior to the strike, many steps were taken to mitigate civilian harm.

The strike was carried out using precise munitions, leading to a precise strike on the terrorists.

The Hamas terror organization systematically, intentionally and strategically places its infrastructure and operates from within civilian areas, in full violation of international law and while putting the lives of Gazan civilians at risk.

The IDF Eliminated Senior Hamas General Security Forces Commander in Rafah

Last night (Thursday), IAF fighter jets, directed by IDF intelligence, struck and eliminated the terrorist Salame Muhammad Abu Ajaj, a leading terrorist in the Hamas General Security Forces in the Rafah area. The Hamas General Security Forces is a body that supports the Hamas Military Wing and is tasked with several key roles such as ensuring the survival of the organization, routine Hamas military activity, and the disruption of IDF operational activity in the Gaza Strip. As part of his role, Ajaj operated to strengthen and solidify the terror organization in the Rafah area.

The IDF is aware of reports that the mayor of North Nuseirat, the terrorist Eiad Almaghari, was killed as a result of the strike. Almaghari was a terrorist operative with an extensive history in Hamas, in the past serving as part of the Hamas West Bank Headquarters and taking a significant role in the planning of terror attacks in the Judea and Samaria area.

IDF: Following the rocket and missile sirens that sounded in the area of Matat at 20:34, two projectiles were identified crossing from Lebanon into northern Israel that fell in open areas.

Additionally, following the sirens that sounded at 20:13 regarding a hostile aircraft infiltration in the western Galilee area, it was determined to be a false alarm.

Earlier today, rocket and missile sirens sounded in the area of Nof HaGalil.
