IDF: Following the sirens that sounded between 11:07 and 11:08 in the Upper and Western Galilee areas, approximately ten projectiles were identified crossing from Lebanon into Israeli territory. Some of the projectiles were intercepted and the rest fell in open areas. At this moment, no injuries were reported.
IDF: Earlier today (Sunday), a UAV that was launched from the east was intercepted by the IAF. The UAV was intercepted before crossing into Israeli territory.
Fragments of the UAV fell in an open area in the Golan Heights and sirens were sounded in accordance with protocol.
IDF: Over the years, and especially since the United Nations Security Council adopted Resolution 1701 in 2006, the Hezbollah terrorist organization has built and developed an extensive network of terrorist infrastructure in the villages of southern Lebanon. Under the guise of civilian cover, Hezbollah operatives have concealed large quantities of weapons, including arms, launchers, and more. Additionally, the organization chose to plant some of its terrorist infrastructure near UN positions and posts, seeking to exploit UNIFIL personnel and their facilities to shield its assets. All of this reflects the failure of UNIFIL to enforce Resolution 1701.
On September 30th (Thursday), the IDF began limited, localized, targeted ground raids based on precise intelligence in southern Lebanon, aimed at enforcing Resolution 1701 – pushing Hezbollah, along with its assets and infrastructure, away from the border and enabling residents of northern Israel to return to their homes. Prior to the start of the ground activity, the IDF informed UNIFIL that the Blue Line area would become an active combat zone and urged the force’s personnel to vacate the combat area to ensure their safety. Since then, the IDF has maintained continuous communication with UNIFIL, coordinating its activity with UN forces and making every effort to prevent harm to UN forces and their facilities. Since the beginning of the activity, the Northern Command and UNIFIL liaison and coordination personnel have coordinated hundreds of operational activities.
However, since the start of the ground activity in southern Lebanon, Hezbollah has sought to protect its operatives and facilities from the IDF by exploiting and endangering UNIFIL personnel and facilities. Since the beginning of the war, the Hezbollah terrorist organization has carried out thousands of terrorist activities against Israeli civilians, firing over 125 projectiles from adjacent to UN positions. In October alone, more than 200 Hezbollah-launched projectiles landed next to UN positions.
On November 7th (Thursday), as part of the IDF’s activity to destroy Hezbollah’s terrorist infrastructure in Lebanon, the IDF operated near a UN post. Contrary to claims, engineering vehicles operated outside the fence of the UN post and did not enter the UNIFIL position.
It is possible that as part of the troops’ activity part of the Blue Line infrastructure was harmed. The IDF emphasizes that it has no intention of altering the Blue Line. The IDF operates solely against Hezbollah’s capabilities with the purpose of pushing the organization from the area and ensuring security for Israeli residents.
The IDF will continue its targeted operational activity against the Hezbollah terrorist organization and its terrorist infrastructure, while adhering to the principles of international law, and to the extent possible coordinating its operational activity with UNIFIL to ensure the safety of its personnel and posts. Coordination with UNIFIL will continue, despite the challenging combat situation posed by a terrorist organization that exploits UN facilities and civilian infrastructure to protect its operatives. The IDF acts, and will continue to act, with increased caution in areas adjacent to UN facilities, even when this presents an operational disadvantage and endangers its troops.
IDF: An Underground Terror Compound That Hezbollah Cynically Placed Under a Cemetery in Southern Lebanon, Was Dismantled
Over the past week, troops of the 36th Division, in cooperation with special units and the Intelligence Directorate, conducted special ground activity to dismantle a Hezbollah underground terror compound, hidden under a cemetery in southern Lebanon.
Within the compound, the troops located command rooms, living quarters, and weapon storage facilities filled with arms and combat equipment – ready to be used to infiltrate into Israel.
During activity in the area, the Shaldag Unit identified several tunnel shafts leading into the compound, which led to the exposure of the full tunnel. In cooperation with the troops of the division, including the Yahalom Unit, Golani Brigade, 282nd Brigade, the logistics support unit of the 36th Division, and the 605th Engineering Battalion, the forces investigated and dismantled the compound, which extended approximately one kilometer in length, reached approximately two meters in height and was located approximately one and a half kilometers from the border, and did not extend into Israeli territory.
The compound was dismantled through extensive logistical and engineering activity led by the Ministry of Defense’s Engineering and Construction Directorate. As part of this dismantling project, hundreds of trucks and concrete mixers poured approximately 4,500 cubic meters of concrete into the underground terror compound.

IDF: The IDF and ISA eliminated the head of operations for the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip
Yesterday (Saturday), with the direction of precise IDF and ISA intelligence, the IAF conducted a precise strike and eliminated the terrorist Muhammad Abu Sakhil, head of operations for the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip. Abu Sakhil operated in a command and control center that was embedded inside a compound that previously served as the ‘Fahed al-Sabah’ School in the northern Gaza Strip.
The terrorist was a significant figure for the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization in the planning and execution of terrorist activities and coordinating attacks with Hamas against Israeli civilians and IDF troops operating in the Gaza Strip.
Additionally, he was involved in compiling situational assessments.
Prior to the strike, numerous steps were taken to mitigate the risk of harming civilians, including the use of precise munitions, aerial surveillance and additional intelligence.
This is another example of the Islamic Jihad’s systematic exploitation of civilian infrastructure and the civilian population as a human shield for its terrorist activities.
