Joint IDF and ISA announcement:
Ground operations in the Gaza Strip continue; the IDF and ISA killed three additional company commanders of the Hamas terrorist organization
IDF troops continue to operate in the Gaza Strip, directing aircraft to strike terrorists, terrorist infrastructure, and locating weapons and military equipment.
IDF fighter jets, directed by IDF and ISA intelligence, killed three additional Hamas company commanders.
In addition, IDF troops identified a terrorist cell as they entered a nearby building. As a result of the strike carried out by an IDF aircraft, the terrorists were killed and a weapons depot in which they hid was struck.

IDF: Earlier today, a terrorist cell attempted to launch anti-tank missiles in the area of Marwahin in Lebanon. The IDF struck the cell.
Additionally, in response to the launches toward Israeli territory earlier today, IDF tanks, a fighter jet, and a helicopter struck Hezbollah terror infrastructure in Lebanon.
Furthermore, 25 launches were identified from Lebanon toward several locations adjacent to the border. The IDF Aerial Defense Array intercepted a number of the launches and the rest fell in open areas. Moreover, three UAVs were identified striking adjacent to an IDF post. No injuries were reported.
The IDF struck the sources of the launches.

IDF: Over the last day, the IDF led by COGAT helped facilitate the safe evacuation of newborn Gazan babies from the pediatric ward of Shifa Hospital to receive essential medical treatment in Egypt.
The coordination of this vital mission was at the request of Egypt and the Director of the Shifa Hospital. The evacuation was carried out by UN teams with the assistance of IDF teams on the ground. Israeli incubators were provided to the Shifa hospital for the rescue effort of the babies.
The IDF remains steadfast in its resolve to assist in the humanitarian efforts in Gaza and its commitment to upholding human dignity and providing aid in times of crisis.

IDF: Activity of the 504 Unit during war is revealed – A senior official in the 504 Unit: “So far, we have apprehended over 300 terrorists from the terrorist organizations during the ground operation who were brought into Israeli territory for further interrogations. The information that emerges from the interrogations of the terrorists is very valuable, leading to elimination of operatives and the preservation of the security of our forces.”
At the beginning of the war, the main effort of the 504 Unit was led by the unit’s soldiers, field interrogators and desk interrogators. While fighting against terrorists in Israeli communities in southern Israel, dozens of soldiers and field interrogators joined the IDF’s combat battalions with the goal of eliminating terrorists, assisting the evacuation of the residents from the area and extending the findings emerging from the field. In parallel, a temporary field facility was opened in the south to conduct interrogations in real time, which within a few days became a permanent facility for interrogations.
As part of the terrorist interrogations that have been going on since the start of the war, 300 terrorists of various terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip were interrogated and gave the locations of underground terrorism tunnels, warehouses and weapons, along with exposing the enemy’s methods of operation, and the enemy’s assimilation efforts within the civilian population.
Throughout the war, the unit has been operating with a wide variety of tools and methods to achieve four main goals: to support the ground operation, collect intelligence to confirm targets, to lead and to influence the effort to evacuate the civilian population to the south of the Gaza Strip.
As part of the effort to evacuate the civilian population from the northern Gaza Strip, the unit operated with a variety of operational tools which helped the unit make over 30,000 phone calls, send over ten million text messages, send over nine million voice messages, as well as distribute about four million leaflets from the air and land, calling on the population to evacuate. The evacuation effort allows the IDF to broadly strike Hamas infrastructure in the area.
Using accurate human intelligence provided by the 504 Unit, over 300 newfound enemy targets in the Gaza Strip were confirmed and over 100 targets were struck as part of the target production effort.
Senior Official in the 504 Unit of the Intelligence Directorate (J2): “We received thousands of phone calls from Gazans, on a scale never seen before in the unit. It is evident that the residents of the Gaza Strip are not satisfied with the barbaric conduct of Hamas, the ordinary civilian understands that Hamas is bringing disaster to the residents of Gaza that will be difficult for them to recover from. On October 7th, the field interrogators of the unit joined the fighting forces in the area surrounding the Gaza Strip, thus constituting a reliable primary source for the plans of the Hamas terrorist organization. So far, we have apprehended over 300 terrorists affiliated with the terrorist organizations during the ground operation who were brought into Israeli territory for further investigation. Each and every interrogation leads to the release of new locations and the human intelligence that emerges from the Gaza Strip. The interrogations of the terrorists in cooperation with the ISA are an inseparable layer of the complete intelligence picture. The information that emerges in the interrogations of the terrorists is very valuable, it leads to the elimination of operatives and the preservation of the security of our forces.”

IDF: In response to the launches from Lebanon toward Israel throughout the day, IDF fighter jets struck Hezbollah operational command centers and terrorist infrastructure. Additionally, earlier today, the IDF struck a terrorist cell in the area of Metula, northern Israel.
Following the sirens that sounded in northern Israel concerning a hostile aircraft infiltration earlier this afternoon, a launch was identified that fell in an open area in the Misgav Am area. Additionally, an interceptor was launched toward a suspicious target. No aircraft infiltration occurred.

IDF: Close-quarter battles with terrorists – soldiers of the 36th Division fighting to defeat Hamas’ ‘Zaytun’ Battalion; Commanding Officer of the 36th Division: “The soldiers operated in a complex war zone, exposed terrorists who were hiding in civilian areas and eliminated many terrorists”
Soldiers from the Combat Engineering, Infantry and Armored Corps of the 36th Division are fighting to defeat the ‘Zaytun’ Battalion of the Hamas terrorist organization. The ‘Zaytun’ Battalion is one of Hamas’ main battalions operating in the area of Zaytun in Gaza City. The troops have encountered an enemy that is entrenched in the heart of residential neighborhoods, hospitals, schools and kindergartens, and attacks from within civilian infrastructure.
The soldiers of the Golani Brigade led the beginning of the fighting against ‘Zaytun’. The soldiers have engaged dozens of terrorists, conducting battles at close quarters with them, and have eliminated many of them.
The soldiers of the 188th Brigade took operational control of several key targets of the ‘Zaytun’ Battalion, including the command center of the Commander of the Gaza City Brigade and the battalion’s central headquarters. The soldiers searched the area, located many weapons and at the end of the searches they destroyed the command center of the Commander of the Brigade. In addition, the soldiers directed an air strike in the area of the Zaytun which led to the elimination of terrorists. In recent days, the soldiers located a laboratory for the production of rockets, explosion materials, a tunnel shaft, a large number of weapons and a UAV inside a mosque.
Soldiers of the Bislamach Brigade destroyed military targets of the Hamas terrorist organization in Zaytun, among them an Islamic Jihad weapons production post, where heavy and long-range rockets were located, as well as a lathe used for military purposes. The soldiers also destroyed tunnel shafts, took control of Hamas command centers, confiscated intelligence material used by the organization to learn about IDF soldiers, and struck additional buildings from which terrorists fired at IDF soldiers.
Commanding Officer of the 36th Division, BG Dado Bar Kalifa: “During the last days of the fighting of the 36th Division in Zaytun, we constantly encountered an enemy hiding behind children, women and civilian infrastructure. The soldiers of the division, including soldiers of the Golani Brigade, the 188th Brigade and the Bislamach Brigade, operated in a complex war zone in an urban area, exposed terrorists who were hiding in civilian areas and eliminated many terrorists. These achievements were made possible thanks to the close cooperation between the Infantry, Combat Engineering and Armored Corps and the IAF. We will not stop until we achieve all our goals, and we will continue to act to protect our home.”
