IDF Updates – November 2nd

IDF: The IDF and ISA eliminated the terrorist Izz al-Din Kassab, a member of Hamas’ political bureau, and head of national relations within the organization

Earlier today, the IAF conducted a strike based on IDF and ISA intelligence in the area of Khan Yunis and eliminated the terrorist Izz al-Din Kassab. Kassab was a member of Hamas’ political bureau, and was responsible for national relations within the organization, overseeing the coordination and connection between Hamas and other terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip.

Kassab was a significant source of power and, by virtue of his role, was responsible for the organization’s strategic and military relations with other factions in the Gaza Strip. He held the authority to direct the execution of terror attacks against the State of Israel.

Kassab was one of the last high-ranking members of Hamas’ political bureau alive in the Gaza Strip. Alongside him, his assistant, the militant Ayman Ayesh, was also eliminated.

Attached is the identification card of Izz al-Din Kassab, a member of Hamas’s political bureau, who served as the head of national relations for the organization.

IDF: The IDF Eliminated Two Hezbollah Commanders Responsible for Firing Over 400 Projectiles at Israel in October

Yesterday (Friday), the IDF struck in the area of Tyre and eliminated the terrorists Mousa Izz al-Din, the commander of Hezbollah’s forces in the coastal sector, and Hassan Majid Daib, Hezbollah’s artillery commander in the coastal sector who was responsible for the projectile fire toward the Haifa Bay on Thursday. These Hezbollah terrorists were responsible for firing over 400 projectiles at Israel over the last month alone.

Over the past day, the IAF struck more than 120 terror targets belonging to both Hamas and Hezbollah. These included anti-tank missile launching sites, terrorist operatives, terror infrastructure sites, weapons storage facilities, and command centers in Lebanon.

IDF soldiers are continuing to conduct limited, localized, targeted raids against Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon. The troops operated against Hezbollah’s infrastructure in the area, located weapons, and eliminated terrorists in cooperation with the IAF.

In the Gaza Strip, IDF soldiers continue operational activity in the area of Jabaliya where dozens of terrorists were eliminated in aerial and ground activity. In Rafah and central Gaza, the troops operated to eliminate terrorists, dismantle terror infrastructure, and locate weapons.

IDF: An Underground Weapons Manufacturing Facility Was Located and Destroyed in the Central Gaza Strip

As part of the operations conducted by the troops of the 252nd Division in the central Gaza Strip, soldiers from the 5th Brigade located an underground tunnel route containing a weapons manufacturing facility belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization, located within the civilian population near the area of Zeitoun.

In the underground facility, workshops, hundreds of supplies for producing rockets, shells, and grenades, along with diving equipment intended for Hamas terrorists to infiltrate Israeli territory by sea, were located. Additionally, the tunnel route contained several long-term living areas equipped with an oven, stove, food supplies, beds, and offices used by the terrorists during the war.

Engineering troops, under the command of the Southern Command, in cooperation with the Yahalom Unit and the Ministry of Defense’s Engineering and Construction Directorate, located and dismantled the tunnel route, damaged weapons production capabilities, and thwarted another attempt by the Hamas terrorist organization to rearm.
