IDF Updates – October 1st

IDF: IDF troops have begun limited, localized and targeted raids against Hezbollah terror targets in the border area of southern Lebanon

In accordance with the decision of the political echelon, a few hours ago, the IDF began limited, localized, and targeted ground raids based on precise intelligence against Hezbollah terrorist targets and infrastructure in southern Lebanon. These targets are located in villages close to the border and pose an immediate threat to Israeli communities in northern Israel.

The IDF is operating according to a methodical plan set out by the General Staff and the Northern Command which IDF soldiers have trained and prepared for in recent months.

The Israeli Air Force and IDF Artillery are supporting the ground forces with precise strikes on military targets in the area.

These operations were approved and carried out in accordance with the decision of the political echelon. Operation “Northern Arrows” will continue according to the situational assessment and in parallel to combat in Gaza and in other arenas.

The IDF is continuing to operate to achieve the goals of the war and is doing everything necessary to defend the citizens of Israel and return the citizens of northern Israel to their homes.

IDF: The 98th Division began Targeted Operations in Southern Lebanon: Footage from the Preparation of the Soldiers

In recent weeks, the soldiers of the 98th Division, including soldiers from the Paratroopers, Commando and the 7th Brigades, have been preparing for limited, localized, targeted operations in southern Lebanon that began last night (Monday). Over these weeks, plans were approved and the soldiers trained in the northern arena.

After many months of operating in the Gaza Strip, where the soldiers of the division gained skills and operational experience, they moved north and are now operating in the northern arena after making the necessary adjustments for fighting in Lebanon.

IDF: The IDF conducted precise strikes on weapons manufacturing sites and infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah in Dahieh in Beirut

Yesterday (Monday), with the direction of IDF intelligence, the IAF conducted precise strikes on several weapons manufacturing facilities and additional Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure in the Dahieh area of Beirut.

Prior to the strike, numerous steps were taken to mitigate the risk of harming civilians, including by issuing warnings to civilians in the area, the use of precise munitions, and aerial surveillance.

The Hezbollah terrorist organization intentionally embeds its weapons manufacturing facilities and weaponry beneath civilian population centers in Beirut, using the civilian population as a human shield for its terrorist activities.

The IDF is continuing to strike Hezbollah’s terror infrastructure and degrade its military capabilities in Lebanon in order to restore security to the citizens of the State of Israel.

IDF: Following the sirens that sounded at 7:36 in the area of Metula, approximately five projectiles were identified crossing from Lebanon. Some of the projectiles were intercepted and fallen projectiles were identified in the area

Following the sirens that sounded at 8:01 in the area of Metula, several projectiles were identified crossing from Lebanon. Some of the projectiles were intercepted and fallen projectiles were identified.

IDF: Overnight (Monday), with the direction of IDF and ISA intelligence, the IAF conducted a precise strike on Hamas terrorists who were operating inside a command and control center in the area of Gaza City, in the northern Gaza Strip. The command and control center, which was embedded inside a compound that previously served as the ‘Shejaiya’ UNRWA School, was used by the terrorists to plan and execute terrorist attacks against IDF troops and the State of Israel.

Prior to the strike, numerous steps were taken to mitigate the risk of harming civilians, including the use of precise munitions, aerial surveillance and additional intelligence.

This is a further example of the Hamas terrorist organization’s systematic abuse of civilian infrastructure in violation of international law. The IDF will continue to operate against Hamas in defense of the citizens of Israel.

IDF: Over the last hour, approximately 15 projectiles were identified crossing from Lebanon, which fell in open areas in the Upper Galilee area. Firefighters are working to put out a fire that broke out following a number of falls in open areas.

Following the sirens that sounded at 12:12 in the Western Galilee area, approximately 15 projectiles were identified crossing from Lebanon, which fell in open areas.

In addition, the IDF is continuing to strike Hezbollah terror targets in Lebanon.

Over the last few hours, IAF fighter jets and combat helicopters, directed by IDF intelligence, struck headquarters, launchers aimed toward Israeli territory, structures in which weapons were stored, structures in which terrorists were operating, and additional Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure sites.

The IDF is continuing to strike Hezbollah’s terror infrastructure and degrade its military capabilities in Lebanon.

IDF: Cleared for publication: Since the beginning of the war, IDF troops have carried out dozens of targeted operations near the border in southern Lebanon to dismantle Hezbollah combat compounds and weapons

Since the beginning of the war, the IDF has conducted dozens of targeted operations in areas near the border in southern Lebanon in order to dismantle Hezbollah’s terrorist capabilities and infrastructure that pose a threat to Israeli civilian communities in northern Israel.

Under the direction of the Northern Command and based on precise intelligence from the Intelligence Directorate (J2), IDF troops have conducted targeted operations against Hezbollah’s combat compounds in southern Lebanon. These operations were conducted in order to dismantle the military capabilities of Hezbollah’s Radwan Forces and prevent it from carrying out its October 7th-style ‘Conquer the Galilee’ plan for an invasion into northern Israel.

The soldiers identified and breached underground access points near the border area, exposed extensive weapon caches, assembly areas for terrorist operative operations, and more. During these operations, the troops also collected valuable intelligence and methodically dismantled the weapons and compounds, including underground infrastructure and advanced weaponry of Iranian origin.

The troops also uncovered and destroyed underground infrastructure, struck thousands of targets and hundreds of weapons storage facilities, tons of explosives, and hundreds of living areas for operatives, command centers and more. Some of the weapons were recovered and taken by the soldiers back into Israeli territory.

The IDF continues to operate to degrade Hezbollah’s capabilities and infrastructure, and push Hezbollah away from the border area in order to enable the residents of the north to return to their homes in safety.
