IDF Updates – October 7th

IDF: The IDF struck Hezbollah terrorist targets and weapons storage facilities in Beirut

IAF fighter jets conducted intelligence-based strikes on terror targets belonging to Hezbollah’s Intelligence Headquarters in Beirut, including intelligence-gathering means, command centers, and additional terrorist infrastructure sites.
Additionally, over the past few hours, the IAF struck Hezbollah weapons storage facilities in the area of Beirut. Secondary explosions were identified following the strikes, indicating the presence of weaponry.

The Hezbollah terrorist organization has deliberately embedded its command centers and weaponry beneath residential buildings in the heart of the city of Beirut, endangering the population in the area.

Additionally, IAF fighter jets struck Hezbollah terror targets in southern Lebanon and the Beqaa area, including weapons storage facilities, terror infrastructure sites, a command center, and a launcher.

IDF: A short while ago, a suspicious aerial target that approached Israeli territory from the east was intercepted by the IAF. The target did not cross into Israeli territory.

IDF: A short while ago, with the direction of IDF and ISA intelligence, the IAF conducted a precise strike on Hamas terrorists who were operating inside command and control centers embedded within the ‘Shuhada al-Aqsa’ Hospital in the area of Deir al Balah.

These command and control centers were used by Hamas terrorists to plan and execute terrorist attacks against IDF troops and the State of Israel.

Prior to the strike, numerous steps were taken to mitigate the risk of harming civilians, including the use of precise munitions, aerial surveillance, and additional intelligence information.

This is a further example of the Hamas terrorist organization’s systematic abuse of civilian infrastructure in violation of international law. The IDF will continue to operate against Hamas in defense of the citizens of Israel.

IDF: Initial Report: The IDF is currently striking terror targets and Hamas launchers in the Gaza Strip. Details to follow.

IDF: Following the sirens that sounded at 06:31 in several communities near the Gaza Strip, four projectiles were identified crossing from the southern Gaza Strip. Three of the projectiles were intercepted by the IAF and a fallen projectile was identified in an open area.

IDF: The IDF struck Hamas terror targets and launchers throughout the Gaza Strip to thwart an immediate threat

Following the identification of Hamas’ intentions to fire projectiles toward Israeli territory, and as a result of advance preparations, the IDF thwarted an immediate threat.

A short while ago, the IAF struck Hamas launch posts and underground terrorist infrastructure throughout the Gaza Strip.

Furthermore, overnight, the IAF and IDF artillery struck targets in the central Gaza Strip that posed a threat to IDF troops operating in the area.

The IDF conducts advance assessments of possible Hamas attacks and acts accordingly, offensively and defensively. The defensive guidelines of the IDF Homefront Command are lifesaving. The public is asked to continue to follow such directives.

IDF: The 91st Division began targeted, limited, and localized operations in southern Lebanon

Yesterday (Sunday), the soldiers of the 91st Division began localized and targeted operational activity in southern Lebanon.

After almost a year of operational activity in the northern arena and in the Gaza Strip, over the past two weeks, reserve brigades have been called up to train and improve readiness.

Since the beginning of the war, the 91st Division has conducted a significant amount of offensive and defensive operations in order to degrade and strike the Hezbollah terrorist organization and its infrastructure in southern Lebanon, using ground and aerial strikes.
Over the past several weeks, the division conducted hundreds of strikes and eliminated dozens of terrorists.

In addition to the ground operations, IDF soldiers continue their defensive missions to protect the State of Israel.

As we mark one year since the October 7th Massacre, the Hamas terrorist organization continues its relentless attempts to carry out terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians.

The IDF is ready to defend the State of Israel from any threat, from any front.
