IDF: A short while ago, with the direction of IDF and ISA intelligence, the IAF struck Hamas terrorists who were operating within a command and control center embedded inside the area that previously served as the “Safad” school in Gaza City.
The command and control center was used by Hamas terrorists to plan and carry out terror attacks against the IDF and the State of Israel.
Prior to the strike, numerous steps were taken to mitigate the risk of harming civilians, including the use of precise munitions, aerial surveillance, and additional intelligence.
The Hamas terrorist organization systematically violates international law and operates from within civilian infrastructure and shelters in the Gaza Strip, brutally exploiting the Gazan civilian population for its terrorist activities.
The IDF will continue to firmly operate against the terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip, who systematically exploit schools and additional civilian infrastructure for their terrorist activities.
IDF: The Chief of the General Staff, LTG Herzi Halevi, has just completed a situational assessment and initial inquiry at the scene of the terrorist attack at the Tarqumiyah junction along with the Commanding Officer of the Central Command, the Commanding Officer of the Judea and Samaria Division and the Commanding Officer of the Judea Brigade. The Chief of the General Staff emphasized the importance of continuing to intensify counterterrorism efforts, as well as ongoing defensive efforts on routes and in communities in the area.

IDF: This morning (Sunday), the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Herzi Halevi, arrived at the site where the bodies of the hostages returned by IDF troops to the State of Israel were found, accompanied by the Commanding Officer of the Southern Command and MG (res.) Nitzan Alon. The Chief of the General Staff met with the commanders and soldiers in the field, held a situational assessment and discussed learnings and future plans.

Following the initial report regarding the elimination of the terrorist who carried out the shooting attack at the Idna Tarqumiyah Junction this morning, a short while ago, based on IDF and ISA intelligence, IDF forces encircled the residence in Hebron where the terrorist was operating, and eliminated him during exchanges of fire.
An M-16 rifle was located alongside the terrorist.
No IDF injuries were reported.
The terrorist eliminated was Muhannad Al-Easud, a 31-year-old from Idhna, identified with Fatah and formerly served in the Palestinian Presidential Guard of the Palestinian National Security Forces.
The investigation into the terror attack continues.

IDF: Earlier today, a projectile fell in the area of Kfar Yuval in northern Israel. A reservist IDF soldier, who is a member of the community’s security team, was moderately injured. He was evacuated to a hospital in order to receive medical treatment and his family was notified.
